The quesadilla was especially outstanding. The purple tortillas, chicken, and cheese just blends so well. The tacos were equally impressive. My wife is usually very particular about steak in tacos and doesn’t tolerate gaminess, but the meat here was tender, flavorful, and has the quality. Same can be said for tamales, which is honestly something I wish I could get on weekdays too. But it’s only on weekends.
Overall, what keeps us coming back is not just taste but the attention and dedication that go into individual ingredients which was hard to find in other taco places. It’s rare to find a spot where everything feels so thoughtfully prepared.
The mole was rich and flavorful, the chicharrón was perfectly crisp, and the tamales were soft and delicious — you can truly taste the quality. On top of that, the owner was such a pleasant and accommodating person. His kindness made the whole experience even better.
This place is a hidden gem, and I’ll definitely be coming back!
We ate cecina taco + carne enchilada taco + carne asada quesadilla (using blue corn tortilla) + tinga de pollo empanada + iced coffee. After dining in, we took home more empanada, some bread, and various desserts. All yummy!
EDIT: went back for more quesadilla and tacos, the pulled pork taco is great!!
