This place has a wonderful old school vibe, the owner is charming and the food is great! I had a rib sandwich and was at first surprised that the bones were in the meat, but it was amazing to pull them out and have them come out clean! Add their sauce and that was a wonderful sandwich! Ordered the side slaw and it was the perfect accompaniment. Saw some others with the waffle fries and wish I had ordered those too, next time. A fun authentic place!

I was slightly disappointed in the rib tips, but because I understand my expectations does not negate the promise of their advertz I gave them full five stars. Two people can eat from their rib tips. One size mostly meat not bone, no bread, no sauce except the two teaspoons that come on the side.
These are not Chicago, Memphis or St. Louis tips. These are more like little slabs of pork that accidentally got a little bone left in. They taste slightly oven cooked, and my honey I got tips that were two different colors. I can’t show you though. We drove an hour to get there and devoured every bit.

I decided to order this on doordash due to what I consider extreme affordability! Let me tell you, I dont go out of my way to actually write reviews. Not only have I gone out of my way to write this I wanted the world to see this review. Wow, Omg, Jaw dropping FLAVOR, TENDERNESS AND JUST APPEALING. Truly the BEST BBQ Ive had! And here’s the kicker, I didnt get to eat it until midnight, was at work I had to microwave it, and it still was by far the best! The fried okra, IT WAS EVEN FLAVORFUL! LIKE JUST WOW BEYOND IMPRESSED. You truly have gained a permanent customer! And tbh a weekly one! Thank you so much for being the cook you are

I had True-que at a local event and it was absolutely delicious. The pork steak was so tender that it fell apart. I also had the catfish, baked beans, and mac and cheese. All were excellent. It was possibly the best barbecue that I haver ever had.

The food was absolutely fantastic. It was juicy and tender. Some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had. The service was great. The people were polite and respectful. They seemed to appreciate every customer. The location is odd and away from the big franchise restaurants, but, to me, adds to it’s unique charm. Sometimes the best food is found in little family places like this. We will definitely be back and suggest others try it. You won’t be disappointed!!!

What a great place and experience -traveling looking for good bbq and they had 5 out of 5 stars and that was no lie -gave us a sample and great people even a lady walked up to our door to tell us about the ribs we got the pork steak sandwich and pulled pork to put in Motorhome for the trip.
