Hidden gem in St. Louis!
We tried idly, karam idly, poori with chicken and rice with chicken curry everything was fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic. spices were well balanced, and each dish stood out on its own. Definitely a must visit spot for great South Indian food.

Ooo late night Indian food cravings, this is a great spot! Delicious samosa chaat- soft, just enough spice and so flavorful with all the chutneys! Gobi Manchuerian- feels homemade, not greasy and flavorful. Glad alot of people were showing up after midnight and enjoying the food! Good, and friendly service too.

So I’ve been meaning to post this for a while but I have been trying to actually process my experience.. I ALWAYS get the Chiken Tikka Sandwhich and the Masala Chai when i have enough money.. My absolute favorite in this region by all means…
The second time I came here was very powerful and healing and emotional and I still cannot explain why…
I CRIED as I was eating this sandwich.. Im not sure if the lady at the cash register & the cook knew that I was actually hungry.. I do my best to survive as I do not believe in the monetary system anymore.. I believe in nature & love & intentions…
Im not sure if maybe they could see my soul in some form..
Ive tried to process that experience and I do not have the words to articulate it..
The act that day, of simply eating food allowed my emotions and tears to fall..
It felt like I was seen for some reason.. It felt like the sandwich was made from the heart.. Like it was made specifically for me that day, or more so whatever divinity may exist within me..
This may sound absurd to the regular human being but not to me..
I am super grateful for this place and that chicken tikka sandwhich..

But anyone traveling or visiting or living nearby, I definitely recommend their food..
The chicken tikka has its own taste, a beautiful blend of whatever it is they use to make their sauce..
Way better than any other chicken sandwich I have had anywhere around her…

Paratha and curry sauce was excellent, the chicken was a little bony but still tasted good. Conveniently located and attractively priced, will be coming back to try the rest of the menu!

I used to love this place before they hired a new guy who’s mostly at the front desk during Friday afternoons. I’ve been a regular here since the time they started, and have never faced any disgrace or condescending behavior. The staff knows me quite well and I do not expect to be treated with disregard over a cup of tea.
It is not about affordability because whatever they charge be it $$ or ₹₹ it’s the barr minimum cost.
Recently because of that one guy, service has gone down, borderline disrespectful. I would advise the owner, as a customer who loves this place, remove the guy at the earliest otherwise he is going to eat into your sales. Word of mouth works wonders.

I really loved the food. It was my first time that I tried the food at old city delights and I was really confused. The employee there was extremely sweet, she asked me all about my interest in food and suggested me the best of my taste. The fried rice was delicious and I loved the masala dosa!! Must visit place!!

Absolutely blew my expectations out of the water, my first St Louis food truck experience, and it did NOT disappoint! So I was feeling a little hungry driving through St Louis, and I happened to pass this food truck so I checked it out. I decided on this Butter Chicken burger, a chicken patty sandwich with butter sauce and a side of fries. I wasn’t sure what to expect. But I drove to a parking lot and eat, and… this smacks. The fries are super hot and crispy, the perfect amount of oily, and it’s so good in the ketchup. But the sandwich? Oh my lord. For one, it’s MASSIVE. Had to hold it next to my HEAD for scale. For two, it’s delicious. Butter chicken as a sandwich is so ingenious, I can’t believe this is the first time I’ve had something like this. Simple toppings, just lettuce and American cheese, but the sauce is so savory and flavorful. And the chicken is actually crispy, which is something I was worried about since butter sauce is so liquidy. Just absolutely fantastic, Old City Delights. Oh, did I mention it was six bucks? It could be double and would still be worth EVERY penny. (Although, please don’t double the price, I do like it as is )
