We were in the area tonight and decided to try this restaurant — what a treat. The atmosphere is lovely: cool, with an older building that feels well preserved and full of character.
We started with the fried pickles, an excellent appetizer — perfectly seasoned, satisfyingly crunchy, and paired with a creamy ranch that made each bite feel deliberate. The house salad followed and was a welcome, crisp balance: the lettuce, veggies, croutons, and cheese were in just the right proportions. The Brussels sprouts were the standout — absolutely amazing, well caramelized and flavorful. Our steaks arrived cooked to perfection; the pat of butter on top added a rich finish that made me forget any need for A-1 sauce. For dessert we had the cheesecake, which was executed beautifully — silky and rich. My only minor preference would be a cherry topping, but it didn’t diminish the dessert’s quality.
Overall the food was above top notch and the entire meal felt exquisite. Highly recommended if you’re nearby and looking for a memorable dinner.
Will MOST DEFINITELY return!
P.S. I completely forgot our waitresses name but tell her the two guys in black scrubs thank her immensely for her service and not only making us feel at home, but making us feel like part of her family. Truly a diamond of a server! Again, apologies for not remembering!

Celebrated our anniversary here. We started with the crab fritters, which were just lovely! Fiancé got the NY steak and I got an artisan chicken bacon ranch pizza. Wasn’t expecting jalapeño on the pizza, so it was surprisingly spicy, but still good! Finished off with fried cheesecake. Hats off to Chef Jay for a wonderful dinner.

PRICE DIDN’T MATCH THE CUT!!! Our bggest complaint is advertising as a steakhouse and discoving they are too thin to order medium rare. A filet does not mean filet mignon – very disappointing. . Sides were good. Veggies not over cooked. Soups were delicious but too large as a side. Would be nice to have the choice of a cup offered as a side. Salads need to be plated. More wine choices as well…we had one choice. Maybe a wine list to pair with a steak…people want something better than wines they can find at their local Walmart. SERVICE was amazing. Very professional and tentative to our desires. We were first time visitors!

Amazing dining experience. Excellent event venue and we left no food on our skates. Sweet Heat was perfectly prepared. All dishes are cooked to order and hand prepared so be patient and let the chef prepare your meal timely. If you want fast food hit a drive thru.
Friendly fast service drinks stayed refilled and all food came out together for our party of 10.
They are open on Sunday and while it may look closed from the outside they are definitely open on the hours posted on the sign on building out front.
You don’t want to miss this turn of the century building! Lots to see.
We WILL be back.

A great night out, food was amazing, steak was tender and well flavored. The kabobs paired with the cucumber tzatziki sauce from the appetizer menu was very refreshing after a hot summer day, along with an ice cold beer or a ranch water from the bar. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing. Everyone there was very friendly, we enjoyed the karaoke and the dance floor.

The food is great if you ever get it, we have been twice and both times the food took an hour or longer to get, neither time were they that busy. The second time the service was almost non-existent, at least the first time we were updated on our slow food arrival. We will not be going back for a third time nor do we recommend going there to anyone, it’s really a shame as we wanted to love the place.

This was a nice place for a music show and dinner. Conway Twittie and Elvis were performing. The party was about 18 to 20 at our table. Meals were salads, steaks, chicken fried steaks, sandwiches, etc. Show and dinner lasted about two to three hours. We will celebrate birthdays again at this place.

This is our FAVORITE restaurant in Corsicana! The restaurant is in an old grocery warehouse built in 1910. The owner left most of the building original. It has an eclectic mix of antiques, nostalgia and modern decor.
All the food is prepped fresh, the steaks are hand cut and all the sauces, condiments and deserts are made in house.
If you want wine or a mixed drink they have a full bar. They also have live dinner music on Thursday nights. I see quite a few couples there to enjoy a great dinner and a show. We love it!

1st time here – came with the boys – excellent steaks perfectly seasoned- asparagus excellent temp no to al dente not soft mashed potatoes seasoned great- owner Becky actually came by to ask how dinner was – love that personal touch – haven’t experienced it in awhile – server was very attentive to drinks and personality was great- live music had just the right volume not too loud we could still have a nice conversation without having to yell. All in all top 3 steakhouse I have ever been to. I’ll be back!

Arrived Corsicana on Sunday afternoon from San Antonio, enroute hOMe to Oxford, MS. My husband wanted a steak & this restaurant closed @4p. Called w/we’re five minutes away, could we still be served? YES! Arrived 3:55p & were the only guests. Beautiful Makana took wonderful care of us. Our wine, salads, ribeyes, etc., were delicious! We were never rushed & at end of our meal, the gracious owner Carolyn sat with us with lovely conversation about her restaurant & Corsicana — a charming, delightful, most appreciated experience!
