Wow, I am not sure where to start. I placed an online order while on vacation in OC because my daughter was cranky and didn’t want to bring a screaming kid to dinner. My mother went in for me to pick up the food. She came back to my car with food in hand and told me the lady was extremely rude! On their online ordering, you can add beverages at the very top. The brunette waitress told my mom that they don’t do beverages to go. When we asked for utensils, she said this was a fine dining restaurant and do not do take out. please tell me why you can place orders online if they don’t do take out. My mom was so upset and taken back, she didn’t want to make any more of a scene this waitress was causing by her attitude. By the time we got back to our hotel, I received a phone call telling me we forgot our soup…. we didn’t forget… they did… and wouldn’t give me a refund over the phone. now I have to go tomorrow for my refund in person. ** also they have a big service fee for ordering online… even though “they don’t do online ordering”. wow. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ********* on a side note, they forgot my daughters meatball in the kids meal, and the food is very mediocre at best especially for the price. Some find dining… ???

We always head home on Friday and save Thursday night for our last dinner here. Again the food was spot on and the place was hopping! Our server Sarah did a great job balancing the # of customers and the complexity of so many different entrees!

We’ve been visiting for years during our annual visit to OC. This visit was a bit disappointing due to a very long wait for our meal to be prepared only to BF e served the wrong order. They admitted to the problem, expedited or original order and discounted the meal. No we appreciate all of that, however it just did not turn out to be the evening we were looking forward to. The picture is the bruschetta appetizer (overly garlic). The house salad was a hit – great dressing – and the bread was fresh. The eggplant parmigiana was good – when it finally arrived. Yes, we will be back next year … we’ll see!

The food was delicious, very generous portions. We loved the salad dressing and the bread. I had the Cousin’s Special which was filled with shrimp, scallops and crabmeat. I only ate half because it was a huge bowl. My husband had the chicken tortellini which he said was very good. Our issue was with the service. It was not busy at all. Our food was delivered by the other server, and she didn’t ask if we needed anything else. Our original server never asked us how the food was or if we needed anything. I had to flag her down to ask for parmesan cheese. The 2 servers were standing behind our booth just chit chatting while my husband tried to get her attention to ask for drink refills. While we greatly enjoyed the food, we would hesitate going back based on the service.

The service at Cousin’s is insulting. I walked in for dinner around 7:00 p.m. and nobody was there to seat me. Workers kept walking by and didn’t even acknowledge I was there. After waiting a while, I had to ask a worker if I could be seated. He said he would get someone to seat me, but instead came back five minutes later and said they were understaffed and couldn’t seat anyone else. Plenty of tables were open and I saw a good number of workers. People were also getting up from their table after finishing their meal, so more tables were opening up. This made absolutely no sense at all. This never happened to me at a restaurant before. I will not be coming back again.

They were exceptionally cautious and accommodating to my friend who suffers with Celiacs disease. She enjoyed salmon with a mango salsa with freshly cut steamed vegetables. Each one of our party of 6 enjoyed their meal. Highly recommend!

If you’re looking for authentic Italian this is not your place. The food was fine, but it’s American-Italian. To start they delivered a giant bowl of salad on the table, similar quality to The Olive Garden, covered in dressing. Meh. The mussels in “red” sauce were decent, sauce was thick which was unusual. The fried calamari was rubbery and very overcooked. The Rapini pasta was fine, the “sauce” was more of a broth, just simply not authentic. Our neighbours looked to have very huge portions of Chicken Parmesan on spaghetti that they seemed to be enjoying, so there’s that.
The servers and staff were working VERY hard to keep up with the full house on a Monday night, so good on them, but it made them all seem very stressed, with no time for attention to their guests. One grumpy server for the entire back dining room.
I’d suggest management hires more staff and trains their existing on how to create a pleasant dining experience even when in the weeds. And send the chef to Italy.

Called to tell them there seafood was going bad . Never got a call back. Pasta sauce is not good at all. Will never eat there again. Used to be good 40 yrs ago. The reason for my comment is when your meal comes out with flys around your seafood and won’t leave your table it’s bad. Told the waitress and said oh well. Didn’t care at all,
