Good food, good location, nice vibes. Opposite feelings of what the other choice of the night was offering. Glad to be here.
5 star Customer service to Mariam for taking care of us tonight. We will be back for sure!
The wings are literally over cooked / burnt & the fries (which I normally enjoy) were overcooked as well .
The wings are even DARKER in person . nothing was edible .
I ordered a pink of ice cream (they left me a note to advise it was sold out – but did not refund me ?)
Right beside the Hilton Markham was St Louis Bar and Grill.
It is a small establishment with a patio.
When we walked in the waitress wasn’t really friendly but the bartender who appeared to be in charge was super friendly and helped us with our order. He gave us updates on our food and packed everything up nicely for us.
The food was surprisingly good for a small little bar and grill. We got the ribs, fries, pizza and a pasta. We didn’t have high expectations but we were impressed.
Worth a try if you’re in the area. Gets busy and is on the smaller side so keep that in mind.
The email gave the time to arrive. When we showed up the one employee was attentive and checked on our order time. We decided to grab a quick small beer on tap, taste was good.
It wasn’t as busy at the time of day.
Food was good, we ordered sauce on side and some extras and everything was in the bag. The spinach dip was new to the menu, we enjoyed the chips and spread. (Every place is different). When it says hot sauce, they mean it. We had the hot honey which was enough of a balance for me with some sour cream.
Overall, good take out experience, pub-style food that satisfied our nosh.
We went at 5:15PM. There were only 3 other tables, all of which who were already being served when we walked in. We waited 40 MINUTES for 2 orders of wings. When we asked at the 30 minute mark no one came to give us an update. Just 3-4 servers standing by the bar talking and twiddling their thumbs. When the server came to give us the food we asked why it took so long and she said cause the wings we asked for were breaded… not sure why that’s relevant. Then she said there are a lot of takeout orders. I was facing the door. Maybe 3-4 pick up orders the entire time we were there. Just ridiculous. They did offer us free sliders when we were about to pay our bill but we passed. Could not wait any longer.
Other past visit complaints include servers giving us a wait time between 5-45 minutes. A 5 minute wait time and a 45 min wait time is the difference between waiting and going somewhere else. Their servers are seriously incompetent. Another time we also waited a fair bit of time for our food and one of the orders were cold and the other was hot. They did resolve that issue by bringing a fresh order out.
Their fries are almost always lukewarm and portions are inconsistent. Their wings are a hit or miss but will say their wings are quite large in size. Their pop is always disgusting. It’s watered down and flat and just not good.
