Hop in Bakery is an adorable little spot in Ocean City, and I really wanted to love it. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and my order was prepared quickly, you can tell they care about providing good service, and that goes a long way.

That said, the food just didn’t meet expectations. I ordered a bagel sandwich, and the bagel itself tasted like something out of a bag of store-bought Thomas’ bagels…rubbery, overly chewy, and not fresh-baked in quality. For a place that calls itself a bakery, I was hoping for something a little more artisanal or at least freshly made.

I also noticed some small, undisclosed surcharges added to my tab. I really dislike when businesses tack on credit card fees or other “convenience” charges without making it clear up front. I’d much rather see those costs built into the menu prices.

Overall, Hop in Bakery has a lot of charm and genuinely kind staff, but the food quality and transparency in pricing left me disappointed. With a few changes, this place could easily be a five-star spot.

My FAVORITE place and people. Such a beautiful energy and unbelievable pastries. From the tres leches that was so good I almost had to have one every day, to the turkish coffee that was the most flavorful I’ve ever had to the fresh bamboo sweetened drinks to the authentic baklava plus so much more. I love exploring bakeries no matter where I am. Me and the family were so excited to come back and see our friends! Even more excited when they remembered us ❤️ Until next year ❤️❤️ ‍ . Thank you for your overwhelming kindness to me and my family

Can’t say enough good about this little spot tucked behind the boardwalk. The Kiwiberry sugarcane juice is what got me in the door, but I stayed for the friendly service, pistachio baklava, strawberry shortcake, and Turkish coffee. The sugarcane juice was very refreshing and the muddled fresh fruit added to it. Baklava was perfect – no runny syrup pooling out of it, and held together when you sink your teeth in. The Turkish coffee was deep, dark, and delicious – I got cardamom added and it was a perfect aromatic. The strawberry shortcake was light, fluffy, creamy, and the strawberries in the middle were huge. On top of it all, the owner is friendly and helpful. A wonderful experience for a tired boardwalk traveler!

I’ve gotta say, if you’re into sweet treats and beach town vibes, this spot sounds like a solid find!. You will find best sandwiches, cute pastries, with seasonal flavors tied to summer vibes. The place is good for treats perfect for grabbing a coffee and pastry combo before strolling the boardwalk or after a beach day.

We were talking down the street and “hopped” into the bakery. I had the fresh-pressed sugar cane juice with pineapple and ginger and he had the sugar cane juice with lime a d ginger. Both were really good. Mine was a lot sweeter. I’m not a huge Baklava fan, because it’s usually too sugary, but I had 1 pistachio and 1 walnut baklava. They were each deliciously decadent. The owner was a lovely woman while my daughter played with her son. We would definitely make it a stop the next time we are in town.

This place is clearly a gem. Food was excellent, I had avocado, bacon, tomato, arugula, cream cheese, and balsamic glaze on a bagel and it was very fresh and flavorful. My girlfriend had a sausage egg and cheese which was on point and welcome since we came from Brooklyn. The huge winners however were the Turkish coffee and the spinach pie. The coffee was bold and full of flavor, and the spinach pie was incredible. Super crisp and flakey on the outside, and soft and delicious on the inside. Nasseem (I apologize if I spelled your name wrong) was so delightful. She taught us some information about Turkish food and coffee and was a darling overall. Please check this place out, you don’t know what you’re missing!!

The food here is one of the best bakeries in this town. Every item is fresh and very delicious. You can tell they put effort into their dishes and drinks. I got the kahve coffee and it was seriously good. If you end up going here, I would suggest getting some of the bread and the kahve coffee definitely coming back here soon again. every employee and worker was extremely nice and caring.

This is a great Turkish cafe to visit. The Cuban iced coffee here tastes great along with the freshly baked croissants which I can highly recommend getting. This is newly opened small business with a kind, welcoming and friendly owner which just makes the experience even better. The ambience is good as well. I do wish for in store coffee orders, not serving in single use plastic containers would make it truly an excellent place.

This was the only cafe open late afternoon/ early evening on a Saturday evening. We loved the unique sugarcane juice they offer with different flavors. We got the one with raspberry flavor – it was pretty good. Also got the Cuban coffee – it was pretty strong but the sweetness balanced it well. Lovely place. Highly recommend!
