The wait staff were super nice and understanding. The food was some down home country cooking. ( It’s even in their name.) The place was very clean and spacious. The locals were very friendly talking to us and sharing some of the local history. Highly recommend.

Stopped on my way through with my daughter traveling from Cincinnati and exploring West Virginia/virginia. The bacon cheeseburger was 10/10 also the onion rings! Pancakes were big and smelled and tasted great 10/10! Great staff! Highly recommend!!

Stopped and ate here on my way back to Beckley from Virginia and really enjoyed it. The food was great, the service was friendly, and the place was clean and comfortable.
I have respect for our waitress, Amanda, who was clearly doing the job of three people and still kept a great attitude. I will definitely be back and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal.

If you’re looking for a great little country style roadside diner, this place is exactly what you want. Cute, kitschy but not over the top, comfortable atmosphere, excellent friendly service, and good food. But I came here to tell you about the cinnamon apples. Now I’m from Kansas and we have good cinnamon apples. But this is something else. I don’t know, maybe they are this good everywhere in West Virginia but in my opinion, food critics should be traveling here from hundreds of miles away to try these cinnamon apples. I will never forget these apples. Come get you some. EDITED TO ADD: OMG try them with vanilla ice cream!

The first thing I noticed when walking into Cook’s was how incredibly clean this place is. Corner to corner, floor to ceiling…not a speck of dust or dirt to be found. The service was fantastic and the food is a perfect example of southern cooking. They have it down to an art and I had a very had time deciding on my lunch as there were 4 options that sounded delicious. I chose the turkey and dressing and it did not disappoint! Super tender turkey, moist dressing and the gravy was clearly homemade. My only problem with this place is that it’s a 90 min drive from my house. I’d be a regular for sure. If you’re visiting White Sulphur Springs, do yourself a favor and have lunch at Cook’s. Phenomenal

I used to go here when it was Granny’s and always liked the atmosphere and service. The renovated place looks great and is laid out very well and well kept. Our server was very friendly and checked on us the perfect amount. The food was very good and reasonably priced. I’m really glad this restaurant has survived the test of time and weather.

The server’s were very attentive, the food was great, and fresh. I got the country fried steak and she had the friend green tomato sandwich w/ the bacon substituted with mushrooms. We got a grilled cheese on the side because we just could not resist! My favorite part of the meal would be the mash potatoes w the country fried steak, to die for!! Visit if you’re in town!

The service was slow, no refills offered, what they called hashbrowns no one could eat even with catch-up on them. I would not eat here again.
Sorry, but it’s how it was for the 4 of us.

After driving all over Lewisburg and finding no space to park on Saturday night, my party drove to White Sulphur Springs. There we saw Cook’s Country Kitchen! Yah! Delicious food, great service and very reasonably priced. They were exceptionally accommodating although it was nearing their closing time when we arrived.
I will most certainly return anytime I am traveling in that area.
