I stopped into Freebirds in Dripping Springs midday on a Saturday, and honestly… it was such a disappointing experience. Everything in the prep line looked extremely dry and old. Even the employee acknowledged it. My partner wanted the ground beef, but she flat-out told us she wouldn’t recommend it because of how bad it looked. The rice was dry and cold, the ground beef looked old and unappetizing, the refried beans were crusted over on the pan – same with the other sides.

What really shocked us was that she didn’t offer to make anything fresh, didn’t try to fix the issue, and didn’t attempt to salvage the experience at all. She literally let us walk away without suggesting a solution.

I also asked about the cayenne spicy tortilla and whether it actually had a kick, and the answer was, “It’s hard for me to say, I haven’t had it.” If you’re working in customer service and handling food, you should know your product well enough to guide guests and make recommendations.

Overall, nothing looked edible, the service felt indifferent, and it was not the level of quality or hospitality you’d expect. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else. Definitely disappointed.

Desmond was an official pro burrito wrapper. I have never had a burrito withstand the world without a foil wrap on it, but this burrito could hold itself up. The fillings- delicious. The meat was soft and succulent, spicy and deliciously flavorful. Will be coming back very soon

Jaden and Landon were great helps today. I couldn’t decide between the burrito or bowls but Jaden went above and beyond and described the different wraps and bowl combos. Landon did a great job explaining the flavor profiles of each protein and sauce. 10/10 Place will come back

My girlfriend and I are visiting Austin and we walked in 45 minutes to close. I got told by what looks to be the cook that they close in 30 minutes and what they have is what they have so don’t try to order anything else. It was a very disgusting and mean tone, we are very understanding that what they have is what they have. It didn’t need to be said, especially in that way. So we went next-door to P terry’s and we’re having a much better experience, much better food and doesn’t cost as much. When we do visit Austin again will not be coming back to this location. The ones in Houston near our house is 10 times better than this will ever be.

I just go go go, so I didn’t stop and check what time Freebirds open on Google. I just noticed their website lets you place an order for whatever time, earliest was 10am, so I placed it for then. I live 2 minutes away, I didn’t need to search up where it’s at and therefore wasn’t shown the hours until I walked up to pick up the order where it states 10:30 on the door. I felt bad, and an employee came in early just to do my order. I appreciate that a lot because I wouldn’t be able to pick up the order any later for my company.
There’s even another order I placed for delivery because one is gluten free and that one had a limit as the earliest availability to deliver being 11:15am. I do suggest they fix the website on editing the times they allow pickup to be, but besides that – I am really grateful! Food was gooood ‍↕️

well, well, well first of all we found 2 to 3 strands of hair in our burritos and then not only did they put beans in my friend burrito when she specifically asked for no beans and also the salsa is not spicy enough. I need to get my taste buds working and pumping.

I enjoy going to the new SW Austin location on 290. Since I work in the area I hate to admit I probably go there more often than I should.
Everyone is always upbeat and friendly, it’s clean and the most important thing is it is consistent on the quality of food.
You can’t go wrong stopping in for a bite to eat. The pictures are of salad with pork.

This location is fairly new but wow is it bad. The employees are trying their best, but you can tell that management did a horrible job training them. I paid $12 for the tiniest burrito I’ve ever seen. Keep in mind this burrito had almost every ingredient in it yet it was almost the size of a child’s meal. Disappointing compared to the Lamar location.

Got me and my boyfriend’s food doordashed and it was horrible. My burrito was missing items and was 90% rice. The bottom of the burrito was all guacamole and overcooked rice. I’ve genuinely never been so disappointed in my life with this place. I never leave reviews, but I shouldn’t be paying $20+ for a burrito for it to be sloppily made just because I wasn’t there to physically see it be made.

I typically love freebirds. But this location is not it. The cleanliness, hygiene and service was sadly poor.
The food bench was dirty. They couldn’t even bother to wipe up the dried beef and sauce that had clearly been there for a while. The dude that made my bowl asked me what I wanted while drinking from an open cup and only changed one glove, no hand washing before the one new glove either.
The food was okay but was a bit stale. And my husbands burrito fell apart after two bites.
Now if it was only one of these issues I wouldn’t make a review. But all of these makes this location bad
