This Jack’s never disappoint my food is always hot and fresh. Every chance I get to go to Dawson I have to stop by. One day I went for lunch and those biscuits made me turn around and order more. Went back that night right before closing and the food was just as fresh. Great job Dawson please continue to serve fresh food with great customer service.

Felt very homey. There’s a fireplace(not lit because it’s July) and nice signs on the walls. I had sides to eat: mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and cole slaw. Hubby had a cheese burger meal. The food was FANTASTIC! TV was a game show that I would’ve watched at home. It had me laughing. Steve Harvey on Family Feud.

I have visited Jack’s at other locations and the service was ok, but this particular location I visited was great! The order was correct and each meal we ordered was in its individual bag. I’m familiar with Jack’s , living in an area where they are common, and have eaten in their locations many times. I know what they are capable of and what to expect. This location failed my expectations badly.

We stopped in at 6:30pm for dinner. The restaurant was not crowded and I counted seven employees, so seemingly adequately staffed. None of the issues we encountered can be blamed on crowd, off time of visit, or staffing shortage.

Our first action upon arrival was to visit the restroom and wash our hands. The restroom was reasonably clean, but there was no hand towels in either the men’s or women’s. We would have used napkins to dry our hands but the napkin dispenser was empty also.

The dining area was clean. The TV was on, but the only thing on the screen was an error code. The staff didn’t adjust the TV during our visit. The fireplace was turned on, which seemed odd for mid June, but then again it was cold in the restaurant from the air conditioning.

My wife and I both ordered the $6 dinner special, chicken tenders with two sides and a biscuit. We were the only ones watching at the counter, but there was a steady flow through the drive through. Our order was taken quickly, but no effort was made to fill it. Apparently counter orders went into the queue with drive through orders. It was at least five minutes before a young lady started preparing our order. I watched her fix the plates. The food was presented to us right after it was prepared, it was not left out to cool.

Our food wasn’t hot. At best it was room temperature. The actual chicken tenders were much smaller than what I’ve been served before at a Jack’s, which I guess is basically a price increase. The green beans had been simmered too long and were on the verge of becoming mush, but oddly enough they were lukewarm. The mashed potatoes and gravy could best be described as lukewarm also. The biscuit looked done, but the inside was still doughy. It was room temperature. I ordered sweet tea to drink, but I got Coke.

I watched cars go through the drive through. Not a single drive through order was completed at the window. Every driver was told to pull forward and wait . I know because I was sitting at a window seat beside where every car was told to pull up to.

I did not take my order back to the counter. I had no confidence in their ability to improve my order. What would the staff do? Microwave it? I ate what I could stomach and left.

Stoped in for breakfast, everything was much improved. Workers inside were attentive, service was quick and efficient, food tasted great. A totally different experience than many previous visits.

I’ve held off writing a review of this Jack’s for quite awhile. At first I chalked up the poor service to this Jack’s being a new store. I’m at least 12 visits in, and I want to warn you, the service hasn’t gotten better in anyway. Service at this store has to be one of the worst in all of the Jack’s chains. The workers act as if you are an inconvenience. Even if there isn’t a wait you better ready for a wait. I just left because I was told it would take them 45min to finish frying dark meat chicken. That’s almost double the time it takes, look it up. The one good thing I can say for the store is once you get your food it is good. It might not be hot though.

We ordered from the drive through. Employee with blond and pink hair working the window at 4-6pm on 2-1-24 was rude and dismissive. We ordered a chicken sandwich meal, two piece chicken dinner, and tenders. We were told that we had to wait 15-20 minutes while they made a fresh batch of chicken as they ran out. Which was okay, 15-20 minutes is not a big deal. We were told to pull forward to wait, and we did. We ended up waiting closer to 2 hours for our meal to get to us. My husband went inside to ask about our food, he was told they forgot we were there even though they marked our order as delivered. They still had not made the chicken we were told they were going to make. My husband got his sandwich, said the bread was stale. I ordered the 2 pc. chicken dinner but got chicken tenders instead. Tenders were okay, but not what I ordered and it took entirely too long for our meal to get to us. You’d think they’d get it right in 2 hours.

We were so pleasantly surprised with how great the fried chicken was. It was perfectly crispy and not greasy. The veggies and mashed potatoes and biscuit were fabulous as well. The employees were so helpful and friendly!
