My husband ate here two days ago and raved about the Chicken Special Salad. So much we drove to Lexington to try it. He got the salad and split it with a friend and I got the Tacos Al Pastor. Everything was delicious!! Highly recommend eating and enjoying this place. If we still lived in the neighborhood I know where you’d find us often!

Peppers Mexican Grill is hands-down one of the best spots for lunch in Lexington! My wife, Blaire, and I stopped in recently, and from start to finish, we were blown away. I ordered the Carnitas Fajitas, which were tender, flavorful, and served sizzling with all the perfect toppings. Blaire got the taco salad and a Skinny Margarita, and wow—the margarita was light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced (not overly sweet like you find elsewhere)!
Our waiter, Joel, truly made the experience unforgettable. He was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and super attentive without being intrusive. Joel even recommended a few dishes based on our tastes, kept our drinks topped up, and checked in just the right amount to make sure everything was perfect.
If you’re in the Hartland neighborhood or living in Lexington, Peppers is a must-visit. Fresh, delicious food, amazing drinks, and the kind of top-notch service that makes you feel right at home. We’ll definitely be back!

Family likes to get stuff here and they love most of what they get. The one gripe was that choriqueso and queso fundido were both ordered and the queso fundido was just basically a large format choriqueso. Family thought they were sent the wrong thing and even took a picture asking for a replacement delivery but was again sent a large “cheese sauce style” queso fundido. Normally places that serve queso fundido use a melted cheese/melted cheese mix and not a cheese sauce. That said, they enjoyed the queso fundido and choriqueso dishes for what they were but they would also say that if they were required to refer to the larger one as a queso fundido they would say it was not up to par.
We also understand some places use the term choriqueso and queso fundido interchangeably(usually for the melted cheese type) but if theres a choriqueso on the menu described as a cheese sauce, i’d wager many people would expect the queso fundido was different and was a melted cheese. Not sure if they just ran out of the right cheese to do it that night and tried to just pass it off because they never reordered it to find out. Either way, family still enjoys ordering from this place but would just appreciate a “real queso fundido” as they say.
