If you’re looking for an affordable and best dim sum in town, this is the place, size of dim sums are bigger than most restaurants and you get a lot of values for your money. This is a self service counter restaurant inside the food court of Great Wall supermarket. The place is vibrant, loud and full of chaos with people trying to find a table while rushing to get in line to order food. If you’ve been in a bustling market in China, you know what I’m talking about. Weekday is less crowded.

In searching for a quick lunch, I find this place in the far corner of the grocery store food court. This one taste wise probably has the best tasting bbq over rice I’ve tried these last couple of weeks. Price is reasonable; not the cheapest or most expensive. Side soup was mild but actually flavorful and tasty. The salted egg came as a surprise to me but was pleasant to mix in with rice. Would place this at the top for bbq over rice in the area, for now. People working there are pretty quick and focus on business. Not much for pleasantries.

With so many good spots in the area that I still haven’t tried, I decided to venture out for an early dinner at something casual, having just finished a run and eating solo, and this Cantonese barbecue spot came up in my search. At first I couldn’t find it, until I realized it was tucked inside GW Marketplace, which honestly made me even more excited about the possibilities. Everything was fresh and hanging in the window as you walked up, very classic Cantonese style.

I ordered a two-barbecue plate with spare ribs and barbecue pork, and both were phenomenal. I went with the non-rice plate since I already had a soup coming with noodles, and that turned out to be a great call. The meat was served over peanuts with a fresh green garnish, which added a really nice texture and balance to the dish.

The wonton soup with noodles was a real hit too, much bigger than the picture suggested. The dumplings were super fresh and packed with giant shrimp, tasting really clean and flavorful. The noodles were good, and the fresh greens in the soup tied everything together.

I didn’t order it this time, but the dim sum options in the window looked exceptional and are definitely on my list for a return visit. My only real gripe was that they weren’t super friendly, but I came for a good eat, not a new friend. It was also a little pricey for the amount of food, but the food itself was good enough that I’d still return. Overall, the experience made me feel like I was back in New York, San Francisco, or Chicago Chinatown.

Terrible customer service and disappointing food.

My family and I drove 2 hours to try this place after hearing good things about their dim sum. We were really excited — until we actually got there. When I asked for a menu, the staff gave me a look like I was bothering them. Then, when I placed my order and asked about the price, the lady yelled it at me with a super rude attitude. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe she was just having a bad day — but minutes later she was laughing and chatting with her coworkers like nothing happened. So clearly the attitude is just for customers.

The worst part? I waited 30 minutes for my dim sum, while people who ordered after me — including large orders — got their food first. The food was literally sitting on the counter the whole time. When I asked about it, the response was, “Can’t you see we’re busy?” That was the final straw. I’ve never been spoken to like that as a paying customer.

When I finally got my food, it was handed to me rudely, and honestly? It wasn’t even good. Dry, bland, and not worth the hype. Even store-bought dim sum tastes better. Between the awful service and the mid food, I’m never coming back.

I bought a live lobsters close to 4 pounds and it is so surprised me after I brought home and open to eat , but I got scammed by whoever cooking this lobster for me.
They stole all the good pieces of meat from lobster and what left you can see in the picture.
They charged 18 dollars for cooking but they scammed half of lobster meat when you let them cook. Be aware of this scamming. I would not ever come back to this restaurant again.

The cashiers and all the Chinese ladies in the bar area are super rude. The owner should improve these ladies customer service manners. Dim sum supposed to be quick but it took a long time. First time here and it’s my last time too.

I paid $30 for this – K18 dish. They were rude when I asked them if they had made a mistake bc no stir fry, even combo, is $30 at a food court‽ I’m never coming back.
Oh they add 3% card fee to the price. Final total was $29.74

The stall at the opposite end of the food court is BOMB however !

Not sure why the reviews are so poor. I enjoyed the dim sum here. Food was fresh and good portions. It’s inside the grocery store so the atmosphere isn’t great. Very good chili oil. Spicier than usual

Poor service and took long time for the food. They don’t seem to care about customer. I guess you get what you paid for. People in the review talking about great portions. What’s the point without taste.

Don’t understand the low rating, been here twice in last couple weeks and saw how busy they were. Foods were amazing. Portions were huge, especially if you’re eating there. Prices were very reasonable. Selections very extensive. We ordered take outs as well. Highly recommended. We will visit again, when in Atlanta.
