I ordered a two-barbecue plate with spare ribs and barbecue pork, and both were phenomenal. I went with the non-rice plate since I already had a soup coming with noodles, and that turned out to be a great call. The meat was served over peanuts with a fresh green garnish, which added a really nice texture and balance to the dish.
The wonton soup with noodles was a real hit too, much bigger than the picture suggested. The dumplings were super fresh and packed with giant shrimp, tasting really clean and flavorful. The noodles were good, and the fresh greens in the soup tied everything together.
I didn’t order it this time, but the dim sum options in the window looked exceptional and are definitely on my list for a return visit. My only real gripe was that they weren’t super friendly, but I came for a good eat, not a new friend. It was also a little pricey for the amount of food, but the food itself was good enough that I’d still return. Overall, the experience made me feel like I was back in New York, San Francisco, or Chicago Chinatown.
My family and I drove 2 hours to try this place after hearing good things about their dim sum. We were really excited — until we actually got there. When I asked for a menu, the staff gave me a look like I was bothering them. Then, when I placed my order and asked about the price, the lady yelled it at me with a super rude attitude. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe she was just having a bad day — but minutes later she was laughing and chatting with her coworkers like nothing happened. So clearly the attitude is just for customers.
The worst part? I waited 30 minutes for my dim sum, while people who ordered after me — including large orders — got their food first. The food was literally sitting on the counter the whole time. When I asked about it, the response was, “Can’t you see we’re busy?” That was the final straw. I’ve never been spoken to like that as a paying customer.
When I finally got my food, it was handed to me rudely, and honestly? It wasn’t even good. Dry, bland, and not worth the hype. Even store-bought dim sum tastes better. Between the awful service and the mid food, I’m never coming back.
They stole all the good pieces of meat from lobster and what left you can see in the picture.
They charged 18 dollars for cooking but they scammed half of lobster meat when you let them cook. Be aware of this scamming. I would not ever come back to this restaurant again.
Oh they add 3% card fee to the price. Final total was $29.74
The stall at the opposite end of the food court is BOMB however !
