First time here… had a wonderful evening with wonderful Italian food. We have a little 1.5 year old son and the staff and owner couldn’t have been more friendly and expressed to us not to worry about anything with our son being a little grumpy, and told us to just enjoy the evening and the food. Shrimp risotto, linguini, chicken parm, all so tasty and wonderful. Highly recommend. We will be back. Best service we’ve had in a while.

This was one of the best little restaurants in Sarasota. The pastas are all made from scry, the sauce (gravy) is some of the best I’ve tasted and all the dishes and service were simply the best! We will come back here often!

Mona Lisa restaurant is one of our favorites in all of Sarasota. We eat out a lot: Downtown, Lakewood Ranch, St Armand’s Circle, Longboat Key… you’re not going to find better, more dependable Italian food than Mona Lisa. The owner-hostess is wonderful and the rest of the staff is attentive and professional. The outdoor seating is so peaceful and the inside is cozy and not tight. Meatballs, excellent! Veal picatta, amazing! Seafood fradiavolo, perfection! Fried calamari, linguine carbonara, lasagna, spinach ravioli, chicken parmesan…. the chef is a master.

Great Italian food with fantastic service. This was our first visit and we sat outside on a covered patio which was very comfortable and not pretentious. The view from the patio is lovely and is in a park like setting with a small lake.

The food was fresh and melted in our mouths! Can’t wait to return and stuff myself again!

Thanks for the great service!

I was able to secure a reservation for us at this restaurant, which typically requires booking a week in advance, but fortunately, someone canceled. I must say, the food was absolutely amazing, and I would definitely dine there again on my next visit to town.

Food was good. Pasta dishes were heavy but veal dishes were excellent.
They do not accept American Express and there is a service charge on all credit card purchases.

They took a large group of us without a reservation and were some of the nicest most polite people we had met in a long time. The food was absolutely wonderful. We had a smile on our face from the moment we walked in the door until we left at closing. An absolute must to visit and a definite return to spot.

Go support this small family restaurant! It’s in the Meadows but it’s open to the public. My family is Italian and I can say the food here is great. They know HOW to cook the dishes correctly when so many restaurants don’t. It comes out piping hot and they make pasta by hand. The prices are fair. Don’t miss this little gem. #supportlocal

Not a big fan. Food was very mid. Wanted it to be good, but like most of Sarasota’s restaurants; it disappointed. There is something in the water in Sarasota, people accept mediocre places at City prices. Just go to Olive Garden, and spend half the amount.
