We were greeted upon entry by the friendly hosts. There was a wait, which we knew, it was dinner time. We were told 30 minutes, they called us in 7 minutes. Bonus!
Our waitress was, Susan, a super friendly soul, who was wonderful, attentive, and just the right amount of chat. This one one of the very few occasions that everyone at our table, had their order come out correctly. The staff worked seamlessly in sync with one another. It was the definition of one team working together. If someone saw a drink at the bar ready to go to a table, they grabbed it and ran it. If a differentwaiter saw an empty dish at a table, they grabbed it on their way by and dropped to the BOH. Just overall amazing job by management, the staff, in creating such a positive team environment.
Ok, food. Of course, we started with a bloomin’ onion, delicious treat whenever got go. Alice Springs Chicken is just a classic, that cannot go wrong. Kids Mac-n-Cheese w/broccoli was great for the kids. Bland for adults but good cheese flavor for kids. It’s also a good cheese to add the broccoli too. Kids Cheeseburger doesn’t disappoint. And added fruit cup is nice balance
Overall, one of the best dinner outings we have had in a long time. Highly recommend this Outback location. High praise for the entire team there. Well done!
Update: they added a trio to the appetizers. 3 of our favorites: mozzarella boomerangs, cheese fries, and blooming onion. You get the right amount of each without the overload of one. Amazing . This pic is a few minutes after we dove in. Forgot to snap a shot beforehand.
I did not get napkins or utensils in my Togo order…that was fun to figure out.
I ordered a salad as part of my Togo order … the pecan blue
Cheese salad. This is what I got. Looked like bag ice berg salad . No pecans, no blue cheese. Saddest Salad of my life. I remember when outback was a good restaurant. Not so much these days.
Clean booths and restrooms.
Server was great.
I personally don’t like the new interior. It was almost a cafeteria layout. It was very noisy and very bright
If I’m going to go out to dinner with my wife and spending good money, I like more atmosphere and less noise. That’s just my preference.
Dawn was out server & she was good buttttttttttt we waited over 45 mins for our food to come out. One guy in our party asked her about it and finally 15 mins later we got our good. Not a good start right?
2 of us had the 13 oz ribeyes with salads (1 was a wedge) & baked potatoes.
I had Alice springs chicken with french onion soup & salad. The chicken was good & baked potatoe was very small.
The soup was good.
Hubby had Aussie Cobb salad which was good.
One whom had the rib eye said it was very salty. Not sure if it was salty or too much msg.
The second person that had the rib eye said it was tuff and had been sitting a while – not hot.
Food was decent, wait time sucked as did Jeff’s attitude.
The decor is comparable to other Outback restaurants: comfortable, well lit, and appropriate for this type of restaurant.
I ordered the chopped pecan blue cheese salad and it was delicious.
My main course was Ahi tuna….I know…never order fish in a steak restaurant. Actually it was good though a little overcooked.
My wife ordered a half rack of ribs and reported they were “good”.
The lady in our dining group had a normal salad and found the tomato to be “way past prime”, but the dressing was great.
The main reason for my rating of three was the time it took to get our food. It was over an hour from seating to getting or food. We had no drinks or appetizers. The staff seemed to be disorganized.
After we finished eating, getting our ticket and paying was also slow.
This restaurant has been open long enough to “get their act together”. I hope it was just an off night.
Appetizers: We kicked off our meal with the famed Bloomin’ Onion. This starter is a must-try, with its crispy, flavorful batter perfectly complementing the onion’s natural sweetness. It set a high bar for the rest of the meal.
Main Course: For the main course, we opted for a variety of dishes:
Pork Chops: Juicy and tender, these were cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning.
Combo of Sirloin and Bloomin’ Chicken: The sirloin was cooked exactly as ordered, tender and flavorful. The Bloomin’ Chicken, with its crispy coating and succulent meat, was a delightful counterpart to the steak.
Dessert: To wrap up our meal, we indulged in the Tim Tam Cake. This dessert was a revelation—rich, chocolatey, and downright delicious. It was the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal.
Service: Our server, Sarah, deserves a special mention. Energetic and genuinely nice, she made our dining experience even more enjoyable with her friendly demeanor and attentive service.
Ambiance: The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great place to dine. The only hiccup was a $2.99 charge for accidentally clicking the “play games” option on the touch screen console. A minor inconvenience, but entirely my fault.
Overall: OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE proved to be a wonderful place to dine. With delicious food, excellent service, and a cozy ambiance, it’s a restaurant I’ll definitely be returning to.
Highly recommended!
