Reviews
Fast, prompt service and a hard-working staff deliver an excellent product each time out.
This last trip, we got the divorced Eggs Benedict and the Chicken Fried Steak, plus the side waffle – fresh, dialed in and amazing!
We’ve also had the Chilaquiles and Vallarta Omelet. All supremely tasty.
They also have tremendous coffee and specialty lattes. Delicious!
For a breakfast spot in an unassuming strip mall, Westside always knocks it out of the park. Easily our favorite breakfast spot up in NW Reno. Will be back again soon!
Coffee was much better than your average diner fare, with a nice medium house roast. It had notes of earth and caramelized sugar. Highly recommend the brew coffee; while medium it was full of interesting and satisfying flavor. It was great with a tiny splash of cream also.
The glass cup had a chip but the server was graceful and happy to replace it with an undamaged mug. We got the classic cheeseburger and soup. The minestrone soup was full of flavor and body – but might be a little too spicy for some people.
The cheeseburger was not good.
Very undercooked. In a couple places it still looked like raw hamburger, and it was almost all bright pink. They offered to remake it, but I asked for a bowl of soup instead.
I tried a couple of the fries and they were tasty.
It seems like a cozy nice local place, and the service was average. I can understand all the positive reviews, but the prices are a little high and they left a negative first impression.
They seem like they put a lot of work and pride into their place, it was very clean, but we came in right before close and maybe that affected our experience.
Overall, probably will not return.
The only good thing was the breakfast sandwich, which we ended up splitting between 3 people because it was the only edible thing we received. I would NOT recommend this place. You can see for yourselves in the pictures.
I had the eggs benedict. They were perfectly prepared and the sause was the best I have had in a long time. They also didn’t drown the eggs in the sause. If you take a moment and cook the eggs correctly you don’t need to worry about having to hide them in a sause.
The potatoes that accompanied the order were seasoned very well. Not over powering, but enough to taste that an effort was made on the preparation.
