We found this place because we were looking for a good steakhouse around Luton and Dunstable. The food was amazing, but what impressed us the most was the service, especially Farhad and Tommy! In 30 years I haven’t seen such a good service as in this restaurant. They also booked us a taxi to go back to Dunstable! Really impressive, super recommended

Birthday celebrations success.
Beautiful small open plan restaurant, very well presented staff and friendly smile.
Our first time visiting.
Service was exceptional, clearly staff are trained to high standards and it shows.
We ordered the scallops and prawns & black pudding scotch egg for starters, paired with the low alcohol wine (both red and white). Scallops were cooked perfectly, scotch egg was phenomenal.
For mains we shared the Chataubriand accompanied by port and mushroom sauce, peppercorn sauce and a side of bone marrow. In addition to Chips, brocolli, creamed spinach, mushrooms and sharing Mac’n’cheese.
Steak was cooked beautifully, so tender and beautifully charred. The port and mushroom sauce paired perfectly and overall it was such an enjoyable meal.
I would say that the Mac’n’cheese is below standard and not at all nice unfortunately – no flavour, overcooked pasta, which was a shame but always good to try – I wouldn’t recommend it though.
The crème brûlée at the end was such a great way to end the evening and was decadent!
Honestly worth the hype and we will be visiting again.

Superb anniversary meal at Prime! Staff were amazing – there was a really nice atmosphere for a Wednesday night. Food was delicious and we had a very special evening. We enjoyed the £25 per person 2 course set menu and couldn’t fault it, calamari to start followed by pave steak for me & the burger followed by the brownie for my partner. We are spoilt for choice for restaurants in Berko but this was incredible. The best meal we’ve had in a long time! Thank you!

My son and I had lunch here today after seeing a friend in Berkhamsted. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, the menu was awesome, but I wasn’t that hungry. I saw a waitress walk by with steak sandwich but did not see it on the menu. I asked about it and was told that it was part of the bottomless lunch menu. Our waitress, I believe her name was Serena, came back and told me she had spoken to the chef and was happy to serve me the steak sandwich, which was not on the main menu.
I was so impressed with the fact that she went and did that. I had already noticed how polite and genuinely nice she was when she introduced herself to us at the table, telling us she would be looking after our table today. Well that’s exactly what Serena did.
Serena, your customer service is of a high standard, your personality and the way you engage with your customers was lovely to watch, and very much appreciated by my son and me.
Thank you for making our visit to Berkamsted and to Prime Steak & Grill so enjoyable. Not sure when I’ll be back in the area, but will certainly come back to your restaurant.

A carnivores delight nestled in a beautiful old building in the centre of Berkhampstead. Parking is either in one of the local car parks or on the street.
Good selection of starters and all the steaks you could want. There are other options for mains, but the steak is king here. Service is attentive although not the fastest, but it gives time for a relaxing experience.
Plenty of options in the pudding menu if you’re up to it and an extensive drinks menu on offer too.
We had a lovely family meal and were given Limoncello to celebrate 3 of us having birthdays.
It’s a lovely restaurant with reasonable prices.

Cannot fault this place at all, staff are attentive but not intrusive, our server was very good and really helped with suggestions. I had the Chateaubriand, medium rare and I can honestly say that it is one of the best I’ve ever had, perfectly cooked and cut beautifully. My wife had the chicken, which was also lovely, although the sauce may have been slightly over salted, but I found it to be just fine. Do yourselves a favour if you are ordering any of the steaks, pair it with “what about me” Argentinian red, it’s stunning and far too easy to drink with a great steak. Never have I had 2 glasses of red at a restaurant and that all changed last night. Desserts were also amazing, the warm pecan pie was perfect, as was the creme bruise, absolutely perfect end to a fantastic meal. Left me asking one question, why have I not been here before??

Great Service and a great day. A large group of us went for my birthday. Service was regular and attentive despite some of our guests arriving at different times. The team were very helpful especially as they provided fruit and veg for our baby, they also warmed my plate when I went to change him without being asked. Plentiful drinks and great food.
Prime really made the day special, couldn’t recommend more.

We went for a Sunday Roast today and the food and service was delicious. We had our toddler and baby and they were great with kids and the lovely manager took our baby to settle him whilst we ate as he was crying. Also she took my husbands plate to keep it warm whilst he took our baby outside to calm him down. So helpful and we will definitely be back again!
