The restaurant was nicely decorated and had a nice vibe. The reason for the 2 stars is because when we got there (party of 5) we waited a while. There were only 5 tables very tight and close together. When we finally sat down we also waited a while before a waitress came. The food was not great, the waffles were soggy and tiny, the cafe con leche had barely any coffee in it. I had to ask for extra coffee and the eggs were cold. We had to ask for things that should have been already placed on the table prior to seating like menus and silverwear. The only reason we went is because it was advertised on tiktok and honestly they hyped it up. They were not ready for that. Although i think they can do better, right now they need some help and more space.

Such a lovely little place! My coffee was fantastic! (No idea what it’s called because I don’t know much Spanish, but just show her the picture and she will make it!)
Pancakes were delicious! All for under $10
I’ll have to try the eggs next time.

Very clean, food was tasty (besides the watermelon), portions are fairly small — would rather pay more and get more. Customer service needs some improvement, overall I think this place has potential. Lastly, needs a better waiting system/line.

Went on a Friday night. Ordered a Mango shake and a Steak sandwich to go. The shake was mostly foam and the steak was tough to chew.

Let me begin by saying that the place is very small… The music is loud, and the only plus side was that the wait staff was very courteous. I ordered a special, “rabo encendido” and when they brought the food it had a tomato sauce on top that looked like spaghetti sauce (see attached photo )…far fetch from traditional rabo encendido. Nonetheless, I gave it a shot, and I started eating only to find that the bottom part of the portions of meats were kind of cold so I asked the waitress to heat it up for me and she did. They took my plate back to the kitchen and it came back hot. I guess they keep the food cold until someone orders…idk…Now I began eating and it didn’t taste bad, but did not taste like traditional Cuban cuisine. In the middle of eating my second piece, I found a black hair, which looked like a short haired person’s hair inside my food… The owner came over and tried to say that the hair was blonde, which it wasn’t and which I have blonde hair, but my hair is long. It is not short. I was super offended that he tried to blame it on me instead of taking responsibility but nonetheless, I had him pack up my food so I can feed it to my dogs, because after that, I was just disgusted with the place. The waitresses are overly courteous I’m guessing because of the previous reviews…the food is far from authentic and I will definitely not be returning or referring anyone here. So disappointing because it’s right around the corner from where my daughter has dance and I’m literally there almost every day.
