The Hill is one of my favorite bar and grills in West Omaha. It is a locally owned spot with excellent bar food, excellent staff and excellent atmosphere. During the summer months they have a pool with waited service, primarily open to the residents you can generally get into the pool area and hang out. The happy hour menu is excellent as well. If you want a bar with a menu that cannot miss and excellent bartenders/staff go to The Hill.

I’m hoping I just went on an off day but I was pretty disappointed. The service was so incredibly poor. Our food was ordered and delivered, never asked if it was okay or we needed anything.
But I think what bothers me the most is how lazy the bartender/server was. Idk if Friday at 1 normally has 1 worker but it was not working. Most tables needed to be cleaned still and you can tell that the server has no plan to do any extra. Also, the fries had way too much salt. I like salt but that was enough salt for the next month.

The General
Mrs. General and I are in from Phx, AZ visiting family and we saw this restaurant was rated very good on Google Maps so we stopped in 8/24/23 at 11:00 am right when they opened. The a/c was working great. We sat at a table and the Bartender took care of us promptly. Mrs. General ordered the Grilled Cheese w/ Avocado & Spicy Tot’s for a side $11.00, and I ordered the BBQ Cheddar Burger w/ Fries $14.00. It is a good thing Mrs. General wore her Lulu Lemon Camo compression’s and I, my Camo Fatigues w/ stretch waistband. Her sandwich was a dbl Decker and my burger was a dbl Patty w/ cheese, bacon, onion ring & BBQ sauce. These were Good size portions. This place was clean, the service was very good and the food was great.

The only problem with this place looks like a clubhouse from the outside. They need better signage out front, but that’s my one and only complaint great service great food and place is very cool if I lived in that community I definitely would stop twice a week easily. Very clean place bathrooms definitely clean staff super nice and the definitely all work together had atleast 3 different people deal with us.
