We stopped at Blue Collar Bar & Grill because we’ve heard so many good things about their fish fry, and honestly, we had to see what the hype was about.
We started with the cheese curds, which had a nice crisp breading, but unfortunately, more than half were missing the actual cheese inside. Just empty crunchy breading, a little disappointing.
For dinner, we ordered:
The Steak Sandwich (6oz ribeye)
The Mushroom & Swiss Burger
The 3-Piece Perch Plate
The Fried Cod Dinner
The Steak Sandwich was seasoned and cooked really well, but the meat was tough to bite through and had to be eaten with a fork and knife.
The Mushroom and Swiss Burger was pretty “blah”. The bun was way too big for the patty, which threw off the balance. Unfortunate, since we heard good things about their burgers too.
Both the perch and cod had the same seasoned cornmeal-style batter. The batter was crispy and flavorful, and the fish itself was tender, flaky, and cooked perfectly. There was a slight taste that the oil could’ve been changed, but overall the fish was great. Large portions and fair prices.
We were pleasantly surprised by how clean and busy the place was when we walked in. Our server, Laura, was super friendly.
The bar has 10 TVs, a good amount of space, and a solid atmosphere. Definitely somewhere we would come back to watch the Packers play.

Food was good, hangover burger/melt was great. Chicken Strips and fries were pretty good, large portions. Had multiple sports on the tvs. Had a dart league going on but still had plenty of room so there were not a bother to anyone else. Large bar with grill behind bar, very clean cooking area.

Every time I tried to play the Bears fight song, which is an American and Patriotic classic, the patrons would ask for the song to be stopped and then blamed it on their kicker and the fact Jordan Love can’t take a hit. I thought this was America!! I paid good money to hear my favorite song but these packers fan were too offended to hear the best song ever composed. I won’t be coming back. Bunch of crybabies.

Bloody Marys are great- BLT is a favorite. Stop in for Friday fish fry starting 11 am. Check out other food specials. Darts, pool and video games to play. Many TVs for sports viewing.

Foodie Duane The Wisconsinite had the pleasure to stop here on Friday September 20th,2024 for a late lunch. They have quality bar food. It’s all made from scratch! They hand press there own burger patties, they have weekly and daily specials. They have plenty to offer for drink selection and menu for food. They are known for there homemade from scratch pizza! It’s one of a kind. A must try! Large portions! Affordable prices! Welcoming atmosphere! Great Staff! Merchandise to buy to support establishment! They have plenty of entertainment that comes through! Follow them on Facebook! All there food is made with the freshest ingredients and they are locally sourced! If you live in the area, traveling through, coming for vacation, coming for a Packers game, looking to make a road trip, they are a must try!! They are a great uptown Wisconsin Sports Bar! They offer most of all Wisconsin’s favorites!
Their Chili is super tasty and delicious! Their Hamburger soup was authentic and made from scratch too and was oozing with flavor.

The worst steak sandwich of my life! Unseasoned and overcooked! The chicken strips were good and the fries were crispy but unseasoned. The staff was friendly good atmosphere, good for drink but not eating

Stopped in after Christmas shopping to get something to eat. Food was great along with friendly and hard working bartenders. Everyone in there was very friendly. If ever in the area again I would definitely stop again.
