We were on our way to Lassen Volcanic National Park and decided to stop in Orland for lunch, and we’re so glad we found Uncle Chong’s Restaurant. The food was so good I completely forgot to take pictures. Everything tasted freshly made, flavorful, and comforting, just like home style cooking at its best.
The restaurant is clean and cozy with friendly service and a charming nostalgic vibe. Highly recommend this place if you’re driving through the area or anywhere nearby. We will definitely be back the next time we’re heading toward Lassen.

Just ordered dinner for 3 only 2 items out of 6 were edible. The pork fried rice tasted rotten. Won’t be back & I would highly recommend not goin here. Absolutely gross The help was very nice unfortunately the food was to terrible to even eat. Waist of $60 plus $5 tip. & you can’t dinner in.

First time here! Although the place was really really dated, it was clean. The customer service was nice, but the food speaks volumes! Fresh! And amazingly delicious!! I feel as though I found a rare hidden gem! Definitely will be returning!

The food was very good and the service was fast. It had a very nice atmosphere and lots of things to pick from. I arrived later than the rest of my party and my waitress was very friendly and helpful and not annoyed by my late arrival. We also had a kid with us and the waitress gave her a lollipop, overheard us talking about the brother and gave us a second one for her brother that couldn’t come. Not only was the waitress so sweet to all of us, she was so sweet to the little girl. Will definitely be returning. (I don’t put names, too dangerous in today’s age).
