We came here after attending a monk visitation at a nearby college and decided to grab some Himalayan/Nepalese food while waiting for traffic to die down. The restaurant had good ratings, and we had a few options on the same road, so we chose this one hoping for a great experience.

Unfortunately, this ended up being one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had.

When we walked in, both the male and female hosts overlooked us — twice. They addressed the parties in front of and behind us, seemingly assuming we were with someone else, until I finally stepped forward and said we needed a table. That should have been our first sign.

The restaurant was full but not overwhelmingly busy — no line out the door, no long wait. We were seated, but no one brought water, utensils, or even acknowledged us for nearly 20 minutes. We watched other tables get seated and helped while we tried repeatedly to flag someone down.

When we finally got a server’s attention, there was no apology — just “we’re a little busy tonight.” I completely understand busy nights. I’ve seen restaurants far more packed manage attentive service. By the time we ordered, the restaurant had already started to empty out.

We had to ask twice for our first round of water. Food arrived without utensils or napkins. No one checked on us after dropping off the dishes. We had to repeatedly flag down staff for basic things — water refills (which never came), utensils, to-go boxes, and even the check. We asked four separate times for the bill.

What made it more frustrating was watching other tables receive consistent attention. It genuinely felt like our table was forgotten or ignored, even though we were seated directly near the kitchen.

The food itself was fine — comparable to a standard Indian restaurant, nothing particularly memorable. Unfortunately, the service overshadowed everything. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the long delays, and nothing done to make up for the experience.

We’re pretty easygoing guests. We don’t mind waiting if we feel taken care of. But having to repeatedly ask for basic service throughout the entire meal was exhausting and disappointing.

Maybe this was an off night, but based on this experience, I won’t be returning.

Wonderful food. We had buffalo mono, chicken Tikka and Lamb Tikka Masala. Our server, AD was lovely. We highly recommend this delicious restaurant for the hungry, road-weary and locals alike.

Had an absolutely delicious dinner here last night, the Indian food is spot on, and there are some additional Nepalese items worth trying, especially the mo-mos. They also have a fantastic Nepalese craft beer called Barahsinghe that is not too hoppy and not too malty, just delicious.

I came on a slow day after my flight. The service was very good and so was the food. I was going to order momo because dumplings are always good. But instead, I went for a curry dish with different pickled sides and then sweet rice for desert. I will try to make it back for the momo before I leave.

A great Nepali option midway between DC and Richmond, right off I95 exit 126. Momos – 4+ varieties to choose from. Must be first choice on our order, especially on Mondays for a 10% discount. Kids loved the fried rice. Veggie sandeko good hit for our friends. Noodle soup nice. Teen son says 5 stars for the appetizer platter to taste a little bit of everything.

Priced similar to other Nepali restaurants, which seems to be strangely higher than Indian ones for the exoticism. Cheery bright spot with Himalayan vibes including Everest. Kind warm service. They even sell hand made stuff from Nepal as a philanthropic touch, if you are inclined.

First time with friends after a strenuous hike at the Mott Run reservoir. Second time with family after a pleasant amble along the river front.

Everything here was delicious. The service was great and they refilled our drinks plenty. Food tasted fresh and flavor was great. If I had to make one complaint, it would be that the portions are on the small side. They give lots of rice so you still fill up, but for the price the size of the portions was on the smaller side. It was definitely very pricey for our family to eat here and it will only be for a special occasion from now on. We did go for my husband’s birthday and they were very sweet to offer complimentary dessert for him for the occasion.

Absolutely the best Indian food I’ve had in in Virginia. Love everything I’ve had there – particularly recommend the Lamb Korma and garlic naan!

Our server the last 2 times has been AD – he gives great recommendations and is lovely to chat with. More than just telling us what he likes, he shares info about the ingredients and cooking process. Very knowledgeable and friendly.

Highly recommend and will be back often.
