We may or may not have neglected to tell the employees that this cake was for our wedding in our excitement!! Nonetheless, the employees were friendly and attentive, and made our experience easy! Chelsea Wray and her staff make amazing main courses, out of this world pasteries along with delicious teas and coffees- Their cheesecakes are absolutely the best I have ever tasted. Hands down the BEST pimento cheese ever! All the foods are made in house and with lots of love. There is a good selection of gluten free items. I would recommend calling ahead to see what they have for gf items.

The Black Lantern Tea Room never disappoints. It is always so warm and cozy inside and the staff is very friendly. The food is amazing! Excellent sandwiches and decadent sweets! I love this place! The atmosphere is welcoming and very eclectic. The cheesecakes are awesome. My favorite tho- the regular coffee and the french press. They also offer a wide variety of teas if coffee is not your thing. For lunch- you can’t beat the salads- plan to also have it for supper also because they are huge!

A hidden gem in Asheboro. From the desserts to the savory foods this place doesn’t disappoint. Every employee is so personable and knows what I like and don’t like. My favorite sweet thing is the chocolate chip cookies. I know, it’s a classic. The best I have ever had and huge. My favorite iced tea right now is Lavender Clouds. I love that they have a huge tea selection. The sandwiches are to die for. Huge. So savory. If you are visiting Asheboro, this is the place you want to eat at.

Exploring downtown Asheboro was made even better with a delightful stop at this charming bakery. It was the ideal place to grab a quick bite before our trip to the zoo. The danish was simply divine, and the staff went out of their way to help me choose. The iced tea was incredibly refreshing with just the right amount of sweetness. My wife was also impressed with their croissants. Can’t wait to visit again!

Best place in Asheboro for your sweet tooth. Amazing specialty cookies and cheesecakes. They are the best in town in my book. They also have some killer sandwiches on their menu as well. The ladies behind the counter are always super friendly, cheerful and helpful.
