This is an excellent restaurant. Eclectic decor. I really appreciate all the local artists on display here. The food is excellent. I ordered Eggs, rye toast and American Fries. I’m going to start eating Fish Fry Friday here. Plus I will eat Lake Perch and White Fish Dinners here. Glad I found this modest priced gem. I felt right at home here. The service was the best. No complaints. Fun place. Great food. Affordable menu. Entree price is usually $38/lake shore. Here $16/fish. This place is amazing. I would rate it 10 stars

Absolutely horrible the food was either over cooked or under cooked it sat for at least 15 min in the kitchen before bringing to the table because everything was cold, the hash browns were burnt, the French toast was only dipped on one side with egg it looked as if the cooked a whole egg on one side of the French toast, the scrambled eggs were also over cooked and disgusting, the over easy eggs were barely cooked at all, the pancakes were dont on 1 side, they remade the scrambled eggs but they came out under cooked and more like a omelette not scrambled. When we said something they didn’t seem like they even cared. The owner took 25% off the bill but to be honest we should have had more that. We left more than half the food on the table because it was awful and we didn’t have time for them to remake it a third time. I definitely would not recommend eating here McDonald’s would probably do a better job. Absolutely disappointed with the food and the customer service please fire your cook before they ruin your business.
Response to owner response…. Umm did you see the attached photos? This is not how food should ever be served and when brought to the attention of the waitress she acted as if she didn’t care that the food wasn’t served properly, unfortunately we couldn’t wait for our food to be made a third time it was unacceptable to eat then only offer 25% when you didn’t prepare the food correctly not once but twice in a row is an insult, I paid the bill regardless but it was a complete waste of money we didn’t eat half of what was ordered. To say that you couldn’t make us happy is sad considering we only wanted good food that was cooked properly and edible. Your cook didn’t have the grill on the right temp or the food would have cooked the proper way also it wasn’t even busy or I could understand the mess up not to mention our waitress didn’t ask us if we wanted re fills we had to flag her down and other people who came in 15 min after us were served their food before us and we ordered the basic food 2x2x2x2 for 3 of us and the other order scrambled eggs hash browns and bacon. Sorry but to not take accountability for your cook and your businesses is shocking considering you need customers to survive. Thank you for your reply we won’t ever come back due to the severe lack in quality and integrity or honesty. The pictures speak for themselves…

I had the Oinkers skillet. For $16 there wasn’t a lot of food. Mainly potatoes with some mushrooms and green peppers and a little ham. I never tasted any sausage or bacon. Maybe I misread the menu.
The restaurant itself is rundown and in bad need of paint and fixing torn upholstery.

A good true diner. Good portions. Fair prices. Good weight staff. He used to have conversation even though the restaurant had a good amount of people in it. The food came out fast and fresh coffee was taken care of anytime. The cup got low. Definitely recommend it. Not fancy but good Diners never

Really good food and genuinely nice people. I love a solid mom-and-pop shop, and this place nails that small-business vibe. Everything felt welcoming and well run. I’d definitely go back, and that’s saying something because I’m pretty hard to please these days. Highly recommend.

Great little find with food that sticks to the ribs, just like mom used to make! Plenty of options to choose from and they serve lunch items in the a.m. for those that dont like breakfast (weirdos). Atmosphere is what you’d expect from a mom/pop shop with a hodgepodge of items and colors everywhere. Definitely would visit a again.

The first day I got the eggs benidict and it was average to be honest. But the next time I ordered their chicken wrap and it was great. The next day I ordered one of their skillets and that was also great.
For a breakfast place they have a pretty good variety on their menu. They even have a fish fry on Fridays in which they stay open later.
The waitresses at this place are very friendly and efficient as well.

I had the country fried steak and eggs. The steak still had a lot of oil dripping from it, but it was crispy and flavorful. The american potatoes were slightly undercooked, under-seasoned, and I would not order those again if I ever return. They would benefit from washing down the walls and vents. The place wasn’t busy (I don’t know if they do mobile orders, or were busy behind the scenes), but the waitstaff could use a little pep in their step, and check in on their customers a little more. Overall, I wasn’t impressed. I wouldn’t be opposed to eating there again, but not my first choice.
