Located inside the Hôtel Saint Louis (Marriott), Union 30 benefits from an elegant, comfortable setting and the standing one expects from an international chain. Unfortunately, the kitchen doesn’t quite live up to the setting or the prices. The food is correct but resolutely conventional, with no real signature.
Dishes are nicely presented and the service is polite, but the experience remains underwhelming once you start eating. During our visit the dining room was almost empty (we were the only guests for a while) and yet the wait for a simple burger felt surprisingly long.
We did not eat badly; on the contrary, everything was decent. But at this price point, in this kind of environment, “decent” isn’t enough.

The restaurant – located within the Hotel Saint Louis – is a great spot for breakfast, especially if you are staying in the hotel. The prices are reasonable, and the service is great. The food is also great, and though there is a somewhat limited selection, they have all the basics of a brunch covered, and I’ve not left a single meal there unsatisfied.

I dined here around 5pm in a Saturday night, but it was relatively empty. The server was pretty good, but food still took a while given the number of people present. The food was okay, but the Chilean sea bass had a fishy taste. However, the cheeseburger and fries were good. One of the glasses had a lipstick stain, that were no from either of the guests.

I had a steak ravioli with arugula and it was absolutely delicious! The ooey gooey butter cake was the perfect dessert. The bartenders and staff were kind and very personable with great recommendations. Aaron Troy, Q and Jason were wonderful! Worth every penny!

I have given an extra star because the staff was super nice. This place is in a 5 star hotel but doesn’t have enough staff in the kitchen. Every day I had to wait for 30-45 mins to get basic breakfast. I saw some other customers also complaint. It turns out there isn’t enough staff in the kitchen so everything is delayed. They do not serve any espresso drinks which is big negative for me. Much better is expect by a restaurant at a Marriott property.

Came here for my sister’s birthday and was super impressed. Staff were extremely nice and accommodating. Ambiance was beautiful! Decor too! Menus were really cool & updated. Limited items but done right ! Jasen our server was very friendly; we will definitely be returning.

Service was mediocre. There was one other couple in the restaurant and it took 45 minutes to get our food. I ordered a medium rare steak and it came out well done. I could barely cut through it it was so hard and dry.

The service was substandard as it was slow and inattentive. The food was as disappointing as it was very expensive but poorly prepared and bland. The French onion soup’s cheese was overdone to the point of being impenetrable. However, the onion base was very good. The yellow fin tuna salad looked magnificent, but it was totally bland. Both the tuna salad and dressing were nearly tasteless. The chips were not soggy but also were not crisp. The coffee was weak, to say the least.
