Reviews
– love the sauce
– really good as a leftover
Okonomiyaki ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨
– more interesting flavor
– loved the tater tots
– wasn’t just a gimmick was actually good
– wasn’t a fan of the smell initially but loved the taste!
Harissa ⭐⭐⭐⭐
– was more savory than I was expecting! Loved it though
– some of the kale was a bit hard to chew but it was only a couple pieces
– loved this with crushed red pepper flakes
– not great as a leftover though, I think the kale doesn’t age well
Supreme pizza ⭐⭐⭐✨
– usually a fan of these, but it’s potentially not super good here because there isn’t enough sauce.
– because there’s so many toppings it comes out dry
❤️Cheese ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
– this sounds so basic but surprisingly it’s so good
– you need to order extra sauce though
– it’s basically a giant cheese stick but somehow better
❤️Pesto chicken bacon ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
– so so so good
– almost smokey and creamy at the same time?
– new unexpected favorite
Pepperoni ⭐⭐⭐⭐
– what you’d expect
—
Brownies ⭐⭐⭐⭐
– big!!!
– pretty solid brownie!

Notes:
– no seating, just a window to order from
– Detroit style
– sour dough crust
– sauce on top
– thicker
– 8 slices per pie
Alberta is already bustling, so with pizza week, there’s even more foot traffic. Their ordering area is within a tiny “alleyway” where you order at a window, then you get it at another window when your name is called.
Ordering 3 pizza week pizzas on a Sunday afternoon around 4pm. No line for the order, but many were waiting around.
Our food came out fairly quickly, and we found tables down the block to eat it since Wild Child only had a long bench. Taking the first bite into it, I was disappointed. The pizza was room temp, so the cheese was a bit stiff. The sauce was good, but it was hard to get over the chewy room temp cheese.
Their normal pizzas look great and I’ll give them a shot next time. This singular review is purely based on the pizza week experience, whether that translates to the rest of their products, that’s for you to try and find out!
But what’s with the handwritten “do not knock on glass!” sign at the pickup window? lol seems a bit extra and dramatic.
The place does not have seating as in tables, but they do have benches. It’s not heated, but it is covered from rain while you wait.
The best part is that you can see them make the pizza as the window is right there. Really cool
My son still prefers Chicago across the street, but I like this place better as they are great for a quick bite.
