The crust on their Sicilian style pizza is so delicious, buttery, and aromatic that you won’t really care what’s on top of it. I did try the veggie, pepperoni, and the bacon pizza and they were really great. This location is a walk-up window and not a full sit down restuarant, although there are benches to sit on outside. Bundle up and enjoy your pizza or take your pizza and walk it two doors down to Function Brewing for a beer.

We had their pizza for the first time, and we definitely came away happy. Nice deep dish pizza, the crust was super soft, and the sauce was flavorful. I like how they cooked the pies, not that floppy type, nice, firm, meaty pizza. We will be back.

Meat pizza ⭐⭐⭐⭐
– love the sauce
– really good as a leftover

Okonomiyaki ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨
– more interesting flavor
– loved the tater tots
– wasn’t just a gimmick was actually good
– wasn’t a fan of the smell initially but loved the taste!

Harissa ⭐⭐⭐⭐
– was more savory than I was expecting! Loved it though
– some of the kale was a bit hard to chew but it was only a couple pieces
– loved this with crushed red pepper flakes
– not great as a leftover though, I think the kale doesn’t age well

Supreme pizza ⭐⭐⭐✨
– usually a fan of these, but it’s potentially not super good here because there isn’t enough sauce.
– because there’s so many toppings it comes out dry

❤️Cheese ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
– this sounds so basic but surprisingly it’s so good
– you need to order extra sauce though
– it’s basically a giant cheese stick but somehow better

❤️Pesto chicken bacon ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
– so so so good
– almost smokey and creamy at the same time?
– new unexpected favorite

Pepperoni ⭐⭐⭐⭐
– what you’d expect

Brownies ⭐⭐⭐⭐
– big!!!
– pretty solid brownie!

Notes:
– no seating, just a window to order from
– Detroit style
– sour dough crust
– sauce on top
– thicker
– 8 slices per pie

A cool place to try some Detroit style pizza. We ordered a slice of the pepperoni and Supreme. The slices are of pretty good size and will range between $6.75 – $7.50 a slice. Once you have ordered the slice, they will re-heat it and add some marinara sauce to it, which gives it the extra flavor. Out of the two, the supreme was my winner. The Sriracha ranch is a great dip to order on the side. Just be aware that there is no seating inside, and it’s more of a take out spot. They have a counter along the edge where you can eat off from.

Came strictly for pizza week which was their elote pizza for $3. I can tell this place is good, unfortunately I didn’t try anything else, but strictly my experience on this one visit.

Alberta is already bustling, so with pizza week, there’s even more foot traffic. Their ordering area is within a tiny “alleyway” where you order at a window, then you get it at another window when your name is called.

Ordering 3 pizza week pizzas on a Sunday afternoon around 4pm. No line for the order, but many were waiting around.

Our food came out fairly quickly, and we found tables down the block to eat it since Wild Child only had a long bench. Taking the first bite into it, I was disappointed. The pizza was room temp, so the cheese was a bit stiff. The sauce was good, but it was hard to get over the chewy room temp cheese.

Their normal pizzas look great and I’ll give them a shot next time. This singular review is purely based on the pizza week experience, whether that translates to the rest of their products, that’s for you to try and find out!

Overall a very good Detroit style pizza that if you are looking for something a little different then this is a a must try. We Uber eats this place for our New Year’s Eve dinner. A little different style with the sauce being the last thing placed on the pizza. The pizza dough definitely had some garlic butter vibes to it that I was not disappointed in. The pizza was very tasty. A little pricy but two pizza fed four people and a baby and we still had some left overs. This pizza is definitely a little heavier then most wood fired pizza. Overall would definitely try again.

The cheese pizza is really good- has a crispy cheesy crust and soft dough inside . The dollop of marinara on top is also a nice touch.

But what’s with the handwritten “do not knock on glass!” sign at the pickup window? lol seems a bit extra and dramatic.

I love the Harissa pizza! One day, I have to try a combo of them all. You can also order via Uber Eats for pickup.

The place does not have seating as in tables, but they do have benches. It’s not heated, but it is covered from rain while you wait.

The best part is that you can see them make the pizza as the window is right there. Really cool

My son still prefers Chicago across the street, but I like this place better as they are great for a quick bite.

I’m so sad, because my pizza was so bad. I had stopped frequenting this place a while ago due to a decline in deliciousness. I was excited to see they were bringing back the Harissa and thought I would try again. It was so bland, if that is possible. Mostly dough and squash, skimpy on the cheese, a few bits of kale and almost no harissa flavor, found one bit of leek….a piece of the inedible skin. It used to be my favorite slice in Portland, my go to comfort food.

Great Detroit-style pizza. The place itself is made for more of an order and takeout situation. I was warned there would a bit of a wait from friends and they were right. But it was worth it! One of the best slices I have had since moving here. Perfectly crisped dough.
