You have to be a member. (Or pay an extra $15 fee) I understand what they’re trying to go for but I think the location in which this restaurant is located at is the reason that the restaurant was 80% empty on a Saturday evening. It should have been packed. The food is good the service is friendly. But I’m not going to go back if I have to pay a $15 fee nor do I feel the need to pay an annual membership fee just to go there to eat and still pay the bill like everybody else.

Update: this place is a member only establishment that does not care about the members that kept them in business through COVID. They have almost tripled the cost of a yearly membership, now $400 without making any improvements in their service, in fact the service has been going downhill for the last few years now, but we still go there only for convenience until our membership runs out. The chances of getting a reservation has significantly decreased, even though every time you go in there is plenty of seating. The good is still pretty good, not excellent.

This is a members only dining establishment. If you are lucky enough to get on to the waiting list, you will have to wait for a lottery. The membership fee is a bit much ($150/yr now), but the experience is always a good one. The menu is somewhat rotating with seasonal specials, but has the usual faves. Great happy hours and staff. Get to know your neighbors at this exclusive restaurant, love it.

Definitely the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Decided to check this place out based upon it having decent reviews. We were welcomed in by the hostess who asked if we had reservations. We were surprised since the place didn’t look busy at all. Since we didn’t have reservations, the hostess told us we could sit at the bar. Then she realized there weren’t any seats available at the bar. So we left and decided to make reservations through Google for the following evening. On the following afternoon, we received a call back from them to confirm our reservation but we were told that we weren’t members (members of a restaurant?) and they asked us if we would like to sign up for a draw so we could then purchase their $150 a year membership which is required for the privilege of eating there. Needless to say, we won’t be getting said membership. We have been to many restaurants around the world and eaten at places at $150 a plate, but The Mantel is just ridiculous. The worst of it is a waste of time. Why not advertise that you don’t want anyone eating at your place? It’s that simple. There are many other restaurants in the area. Stop wasting people’s time.

Very expensive for what you’re getting! The food is mediocre and you have to be a member to dine there. There are much better places to eat in Bonney Lake!
