As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the warm, inviting atmosphere of The Pub. Their sign proudly claimed “Best Burgers in Town,” and they absolutely lived up to the hype. The burger was cooked perfectly — juicy, flavorful, and stacked with fresh toppings that made every bite better than the last. What really set the experience apart, though, was Marc, the bartender and server. He was incredibly welcoming from the moment we sat down, checking in just the right amount without ever being intrusive. His attentiveness, genuine friendliness, and knowledge of the menu made the whole visit feel personal and memorable. If you’re looking for great food and even better service, The Pub is definitely worth a stop.

Just tried to go there after a little Black Friday shopping. Only wanted a couple drinks and some fried pickles to chill and unwind. They couldn’t even get that right. Sat there forever waiting on the bartender to even come over(mind you they were NOT super busy, AT ALL) finally got a drink, ordered pickles at the same time. We got forgotten about….40 minutes and still no pickles, no checking on us, no ANYTHING. Then the bartender said she put in the wrong order. I’m not going here anymore. Been back 2 other times, this was the third strike in my book. The service has gone down hill, and so has the food. The staff is rude. Unless you’re a “regular “….well you’ve lost business of someone in the industry who does understand and have patience as well as tip good….not anymore. Do better.

We tried this place a few years ago and we were “one and done”. Since then, someone mentioned that it was better, new owners, etc. If I could leave zero stars I would. The French dip was thinner than my finger (photo for reference). The meat was full of gristle and tasteless. The au jus was cold. The fries were over cooked and crispy. The dining area itself is in disarray with tables and chairs piled up with dust and dirt. There are flying insects. The place was mostly empty. It took 45 minutes for a burger and French dip after order. The server visited our table once to take our order and one to deliver food. And then never returned. We waited another 20 minutes for the bill and finally a different employeee brought us the check. This turned into a 90 minute terrible adventure.

You live and you learn. I asked for medium rare and I got a well-done patty. The patty was overcooked and a bit burned. The burger was bland, but there was a slight kick to it. They put more seasoning on the fries than they do on a patty. They have a huge sign outside of their restaurant that indicates they have the best burgers. They are definitely delusional. They should probably consider a new chef or just take down the sign.

Nice specials and good prices. The staff is too comfortable hanging out at one end of bar chatting with each other while multiple people are trying to order a cocktail or food. I come here because it’s a mile from my house, but the service generally sucks.

Great food, really great crab dip. Highly recommend. I got the bbq bacon cheeseburger and had them put an egg on it, oh man. Delicious. Me and my lady had a great time. The bar atmosphere is actually pretty nice as I’m not big on bar scenes cause it’s always loud but not this place. Staff was friendly and just an all around nice evening. This was my first time here and we will be back for sure. IPA on tap too. Lots of variety.

We (party of 3) arrived last night at 11:20 PM thinking we could enjoy a drink or 2 and some karaoke entertainment until midnight as listed. We walked in and were immediately told that last call had ALREADY been called & we could NOT be served, but we could hang around for karaoke! Needless to say we walked out & found another establishment to spend our money in & have a good time.

The Pub is a excellent place for down home bar food. During my visit they had the ribeye steak and cheese sub with pub chips on special, it was very good. The waitress was attentive and helpful.
Finally, Tuesday was trivia night at the bar, and they sounded like they were having a great. Those of us in the restaurant are had fun discussing what we thought the answers were. Planning our next trip to participate in the fun.

WOW come hungry not only is this a cut above the rest burger it really is one of the best I have had in the Fredericksburg yet! Our first time there we got greeted by the owner, within 2 mins A drink bought for us, now a new friend, very friendly place. You can see by the photos portions are NO joke! One is a 1/2 pound with bacon and well tons of fries . The other is still a monstrous 1/4 pound that my wife could not finish. LOL that was listed as a kids burger. A great thing they do is put all your fixings on the side and you put it together when your ready that means NO soggy burger You can see in the photos FULL plate come hungry . A great place to kick back!

One of the best places in FXBG to get a burger, hot sub, and a good drink. What Patty and Tony have done to the place has completely turned it around in my opinion.
The food is amazing and the bartenders are cool. The best burgers and sandwiches on this side of of town.
