For an airport cheesesteak, you can’t expect much. But cmon now. I’m here on a slower day and wanted to enjoy a cheesesteak in philly. I wasn’t able to go out of the airport but thought this would at least taste good. This was lacking flavor, and some parts of the sandwich were dry. The cheese was melted find and the bread could’ve used more toasting. The quantity of steak was fair, no issue there. Just wish the flavor profile was there. I was disappointed, but hey its airport food. All in all there should be some level of high standard so people don’t feel like they need to go out of the airport.
The price was $20 after tax and would’ve been fine if the flavor truly hit and the bread felt better.

I gotta say, this is some really good airport cheesesteak! Was here on a Monday in late April 2025, and got some seriously good food and service. Better here than downtown Philly at a regular restaurant. Served hot and meat was tender and juicy. Fries hot and crisp. Best airport food.

I got the cheese steak with cheese wiz and mushrooms, fries and a drink. Totaled to just over $30 for lunch. Kind of high price but the sandwich was decent. Service was good and they popped out the cheese steaks fast. I disagree with being charged the wage and benefits surcharge but you’re not warned about that before you order anywhere, so can’t do much about that. I’d get one again while in this airport given the other options.

Had a cheesesteak combo and while the food was okay (I’ve had a better cheesesteak in TX, and the fries were better than the sandwich) It was $30!! and they wouldn’t even do a drink refill, absolutely ridiculous.

I was really looking forward to trying out the famous cheesesteaks in Philly, but unfortunately, this place didn’t quite live up to the hype. Even though it’s an airport restaurant, I believe they can do better! The meat was bland and tough, the roll lacked cheese and was too soft, and don’t even get me started on the sky-high prices for bottled water! Plus, I couldn’t help but wonder, why wasn’t the meat chopped? There’s definitely room for improvement here, and I hope they take some serious steps to up their game!

I had high expectations for a restaurant in Philadelphia that specializes in cheesesteaks, but unfortunately it fell far short. The sandwich was dry, lacking flavor, and nowhere near the quality you’d expect from the city that made this dish famous. Honestly, I could have gotten a better cheesesteak at Subway.
On top of that, I paid $4.50 for a drink and was surprised to learn there are no refills—something I would expect at a quick-service spot. Between the underwhelming food and the overpriced drinks, this was a letdown from start to finish.
I won’t be returning and can’t recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Philly cheesesteak experience.

Geno’s Cheesteaks to me is the best Cheesesteak vendor in the Philadelphia Airport – far better than it’s competitor Jim’s Steaks. Tasty (though often precooked steak meat when busy – that wasn’t good!), cheese and the roll is also great. Staff was friendly (the 2 guys making the food) except for the lady at the register who couldn’t manage to smile. Friendly service goes a long way!!! They do get slammed when busy so allow time to wait if busy. Totally worth it but is what it is.

Total for the sandwich was over $17, skimpy on the meat, and it was only half of a sandwich. I made a mobile order and it was less than 3 minutes from when I made the order that it said it was ready. They are not making the steak to order and it shows. I was excited to get to try Geno’s during my layover, but this was not good. Maybe need to just fire the staff and start over.

The pizza steak I ordered, when given to me, did not have sauce at all! It was obvious also that the lady putting together the sandwiches was not paying attention. The employees are zombie-like; just going through the motions. #notrecommend #bechego
Message to Geno’s owner: This airport location gives your brand a bad name. You should visit this location from time to time to monitor the quality. I’m almost about done from ever ordering from here, and I travel weekly. Please keep up with it. Travelers will be looking for other alternatives now that the airport foolishly didn’t renew the Chick-fil-A lease and kicked them out of the airport #Chick-fil-A #bringbackchickfila

$20 for bread with a bit of steak on top. Never been ripped off this badly before. Avoid this place.
