We’ve never been here before. Came for a nice Valentine’s Day romantic dinner for two. Excellent meal. Everything was masterfully made and delicious. Pretty large portions and the price was great for what we received. Our waitress was very pleasant and we could tell she’s genuinely nice, not just doing her job. She was professional and friendly. We ordered an appetizer, drinks, tea, and our meal. We were way too full for dessert. The salad was good for a starter and the soup was very delicious. I don’t particularly like getting my own soup and salad, but it didn’t bother me too bad, given the ambience and helpful waitress pointing the way. Our drinks were neither too strong nor watered down and they were delicious, along with the tea. We are definitely coming back again and we’ve decided to get his parents a gift certificate there as well. Highly recommended.

Best restaurant in town. Came here for dinner on a business trip. Salad bar and entree was absolutely delicious. Honestly, the type of food you expect in a big city, but here in Algona, Iowa. Must stop here if you’re in town!

Very nice place, atmosphere excellent. Food was outstanding. Hubby got filet, said it was in his top 5. I got the walleye, very good 1st time eating it. Salad and soup bar was wonderful quality Very simple but very good. I had a bowl of tomato bisque excellent.

I would give emeralds fine food and libations a five for their amazing service. Not sure what our waitress’s name was but she was great. I got the PB&J burger which was very tasty and my husband tried their chicken tenders. The portobello mushrooms were lovely as an appetizer. Would recommend

Salad bar was way over priced for choices available. No eggs,no radishes,no mushrooms,no bacon bits,NO tomatoes. Never had a $15 salad bar without tomato’s.

Best salad bar in town. They make amazing food. My favorite is lobster and mango salmon. Occasionally, they will do gluten free take n’ bake pizza – so good! They usually have a gluten free soup at their salad bar as well.

The food was fresh and hot. The salad bar had limited condiments. The shrimp had too much breading. The steal was ordered medium rare, but came rare. The server was friendly and attentive. Menu prices were comparable to other local restaurants.

Great restaurant and food. Our server wasn’t fantastic. We had to ask for refills several times. When she brought the ticket, she separated the meals on the same ticket and took our credit cards, and didn’t take the time to clarify which card needed to cover what portion. The meals didn’t cost the same, so we had to work it out between us.

Wow what a fantastic time we had. Moved to Iowa 3 years ago and this was by far the BEST restaurant of all we have been to. There were 6 of us. We moved to Iowa from the cities in Minnesota and used to go out to eat at the finest restaurants and Emeralds definitely is on par with big city restaurants. It’s alittle pricey !!!! Food was Excellent. Waiting for the food wasn’t too bad for party Of 7. I suppose, cause I wasn’t local.I felt out a place.
