This place was recommended by a friend. I thought I give it a shot. He recommended the gorditas. Didn’t specify. They have 2 types with different “fillings”; corn and flour! I ordered 2 flour and 1 corn! DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE I MADE. Just order the corn, you won’t regret it! The flour is good too but the corn is another level! I got 2 steaks and 1 pork(the seasoned red one)! Love them. The pork one was very well flavored! Parking sucks, granted it’s during the winter…I ordered mine to go but the restaurant is well decorated. Very community oriented! Unfortunately I went during the Fed Raids…so there wasn’t anyone there except workers. Hopefully soon we can get back to normal so places like these can make a living! Do go and SUPPORT them!

The food is amazing, my husbands loves to go there very often.BUTTTT…. The cashier is very rude, I talked to other clients as well and read some reviews and they agreed with me. She has a very nasty attitude. She talks back, rolls her eyes, answers her phone in a very rude way. I brought my friend there from a different state and that’s the first thing he said “she’s so rude”. I’ve been going there for over a year but couldn’t keep my mouth close anymore….

CHECK YOUR TAKE-OUT ORDERS BEFORE YOU LEAVE, because if they make an error and don’t put all the food you ordered. They will tell you that it is your responsibility to do it. The cashier said to me that when I called to let them know I didn’t have all the food. “You should have checked it here.” Like it’s not my responsibility to do your job.

Tolerable food… the Gordita I got had beans and cheese inside and there was zero flavor. The steak tacos were also bland. The barbacoa taco was delicious! I will likely not eat here again. Gorditas El Durango was great! The owner Manny was super nice and helpful. He talked to me about how the meat choices they have are super traditional to where they are from in mexico. I had some tacos (Chile relleno, deshebrada, and asada de puerco) which were all super good. I loved them not only because they were good but because they were also different from your average taqueria. I didn’t try a gordita but I’ll definitely be going back because it looked super good as well!

Ordered a quesadilla and it was more cheese and tortilla than it was STEAK!!! it was dry not to mention they don’t have guacamole or avocado. I had to eat my quesadilla upside down just because it was barely anything in it.

Really enjoyed the gorditas! The meat was very flavorful. Lots of options to choose from and they serve more than gorditas, which are essentially a stuffed taco (for the un-initiated). The orange sauce provided with the gorditas is very spicy, but a delicious flavorful bomb. Really complimented the gordita and ingredients inside very well! Great atmosphere in the restaurant too. Everything tasted great, good service, and no complaints. Hope to return regularly. Thank you!
