Ordered fish special…discontinued even though sign was still right on front of the order line. Can I sub chicken, sure. Hard as a rock. Tastes like it was cooked yesterday and left under a heat lamp. No salt for corn on the cob. Won’t go there ever again! I figure it is getting ready to close with such poor quality. French fries started out cold so neither of us ate them. $24 for 2 meals and 2 drinks and we didn’t eat half of either meal. Don’t waste your money. The manager obviously doesn’t care so why bother.

The food was good but the service was poor. The lady who took our order seemed inconvenienced that we distracted her from her conversation with her co-workers. We were told they were out of fries so they substituted corn and coleslaw instead. Then there were no utensils for the slaw or corn. We asked for some forks and we’re told “If it isn’t in the lobby, we don’t have it. The only reason I am giving this establishment 2 stars is because one of the servers wished us a good day and the food was ok.

One hush puppy was hot but everything else was cold. The fish must have sat out on the counter while they made fresh hush puppies. The fries were cold and soggy. I was very surprised and disappointed. There is no excuse for serving this poor quality food to paying customers.

Ordered a 2 fish combo with coleslaw, L9, and a T1, one got dine in, one to go. I got the t1, it was perfect, but in my to go bag, there a crunch wrap, a hard taco and coleslaw. When I went back up, I ended up telling her what the L9 came with, then 2 separate people came out to look at the menu customers look at..to i dunno..to look at maybe what the combo is? They were acting like i asked for something completely off the menu.

I have the give this place a high rating. The food was good, and hot. My soda was not watered down. I love seafood, and shrimp is a fav. I have eaten shrimp at comparable places, how is it that shrimp at LJS is bigger than those at Captain Ds, Olive Garden and Red Lobster. Long Johns gets the win!

Feedback based on 2 visits. On 2/12 – drive thru at 1230pm. Ordered the cod special. Having paid, was informed that they just put some in the fryer and it will be 5 minutes and to pull up and wait. 18 minutes later, got my fish and drove away. Give an accurate time so I can decide whether to wait or cancel the order. On the plus side, the young lady at the register was polite and friendly.
2/17 – Decided to go in to the dining room (1:50pm) after past drive thru experience. Walked in and join the line at the counter, which has an unmanned register. There is someone manning drive-thru window, and the fry cook is walking around, but no one acknowledges that there are people waiting to order. 4 minutes later, guy walks up to register (busy chatting on his cell phone), puts his call on hold, takes order (without a hello, thank you etc), resumes his call. Over 10 minutes later, get my L9 combo. Slow and sucky service would be tolerable if people working there were friendly and looked as if they wanted to be there. I’m observing the cashier for the duration of my visit there (25 mins) and he’s busy on the phone chatting and texting. Try cleaning some of the dirty tables instead….
This franchise owner has some work to do to improve service and the general customer experience.

I’m sorry but when you have to repeat your order 3 times in the drive thru because no one inside will shut up so the girl running the drive thru can take the order, you have a staff & professionalism problem. Got to the window and the 2 young ladies were messing around fighting with each other over who was going to greet us and run the card…extremely unprofessional. Maybe some adult supervision at night?

The chicken was fresh tasting. The hushpuppies were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. And the drinks were properly carbonated. It was great.

won’t take any coupons or honor any ljs deals because they are a franchise and lose money on their food. Corporate needs to buy it back or lower the price of the food they sell to the franchise so they can stay in business.
