The service here is excellent! I’ll definitely be back but make some modifications to what/how I ordered. The omelets were great. We had a meat lovers and the hot & spicy. We thought the hot & spicy came with sour cream and it didn’t. We requested it and were charged $1.40 which we thought was a bit much. The cheesy potatoes are an up charge (which they do tell you) and they’re good. They were warm at best. I assume they’re premade and they just take some out and heat them up. I would’ve liked them to be heated a bit more and maybe even browned on the top would’ve been great. The regular hash browns were not brown/crisp which was a disappointment. When ordering them in the future I’d definitely request crispy hash browns. They also had that weird mystery grill oil flavor which is usually enough for me to not order something like that again. I’d like to ask if they could be cooked with real butter instead of weird oil. I think the toast had real butter on it, so why not, it’s worth the ask! The biscuits are homemade and good. The gravy was also good. It was right on the verge of having that deep south gravy flavor. Do you know the kind? Usually Cajun restaurants serve that style. No real complaints, just different. Our kids had pancakes and bacon. The pancakes were fluffy and flavorful. The bacon was crispy, stand up on its own and easily break kind of crispy. Next time we might see if getting it cooked slightly less than crispy is an option. The restaurant was clean, the staff is incredibly kind and friendly, service was quick, prices and portions were also great. I’ll definitely be back but make a couple minor requests when ordering.

We came as a first time visit. I had the meatloaf which was fantastic. The flavor and texture were very much on point. And their mashed potatoes are wonderful. My husband go the Benny skillet and demolished his plate.

This was a new place for us today – and it did not disappoint! We had brunch and it was delicious. We did go back – with a bigger group! Very good meals in an attractive, enjoyable place to eat. Friendly employees too! Always love it here!!

First time here. Always have to try the Biscuits and Gravy and Eggs Benedict on the first time. The homemade biscuits and gravy were great. I allways have them toast or grill the biscuits even when they say they’re hot. The little extra heat makes them extra crispy. The B&G was both great. Just right amount of gravy.
Wife had the regular Eggs Benedict with hash browns. Both were great also.
Waitress was nice and very good, gave us a pot of coffee to refill as we wanted (love this as you always have fresh and hot coffee). She checked on us often.
This will definitely be on our list now as a top 5 breakfast joint. Will also be back for lunch and dinner, hopefully they are as good as the breakfast.

Our waitress Monica was amazing. We had a little one with us and had not visited here before. Very accommodating and friendly. Environment was very family welcoming. Asked for manager to compliment the team she came out and was so friendly. She had a person call in so she has been washing dishes, they all had great teamwork from the top down. The restaurant was quiet and very clean! We went in for a quick bite and everything was cooked perfectly! Our waitress was amazing! She was speedy very sweet and informative, a great conversationalist! She even continued to check on us long after we paid our bill and continued great service up until we stepped out the door! This is by far one of the better places in Portage to eat. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner. Waiter, Jimi, is the best person to serve you. He is very friendly and attentive to his customers. Always a smile and good conversation along with the food. The coffee is really good and the place is clean and presentable. No worries about germs here. I highly recommend this place. Prices are fair and the amount of food served is enough to overfill your belly and have leftovers. Give it a try, you won’t be sorry.
