The place was quite far, requiring about a two-hour drive, but the trip was definitely worth it because of how beautiful the location is. Upon arrival, we paid an entrance fee of ₱400 for 2pax. ₱80 for the environmental fee and ₱320 consumable. There was an event happening at the time, but it didn’t affect the diners since they had a separate area. We arrived around 6 PM, which felt a bit late because the place was massive and had plenty of spots perfect for taking photos. Unfortunately, since it was already dark, finding good lighting was a bit challenging.

When it came to the food, I ordered tapang baboy damo out of curiosity. It turned out to be slightly salty, but still enjoyable. My boyfriend ordered the El Rio chicken and was expecting a more distinctive recipe since it was named after the restaurant. I had a taste and really liked how crispy the chicken was. I was hoping for a stronger coffee flavor in our lattes, but they were good nonetheless. The cake was excellent as well.

Great food. Wonderful place. Nice views. Despite a long drive from SM Fairview its worth upon reaching the place. Great place to unwind and enjoy the scenery. They have also a pool where you can enjoy swimming with the family. After enjoying a nice meal, your family can enjoy walking around the place to fully appreciate the scenery. We spend almost half the say without noticing the hours. All the areas of the cafe are instagramable where you can photos.

The view was really nice and the place was well-organized—from ordering to food service. The café area is spacious, and there’s plenty of seating available for El Rio guests. Parking is wide and convenient.

We paid ₱200 for the entrance fee, which already includes the ₱35 environmental fee. That means only ₱165 is consumable.

Food selection was quite limited. Frappes weren’t available until 9 AM, so only hot and cold drinks were being served during our visit at around 8:30 AM.

We tried their all-day breakfast meals—wild boar, longganisa, and chicken flakes. Serving size was decent. A bit overpriced in my opinion, but understandable since you’re also paying for the view.

For drinks, we ordered the cold Spanish latte, hot Spanish latte, and matcha cold. All of them were too sweet for our taste, and we could barely taste the coffee.

Service was quick and the staff were approachable. The place was clean and well-maintained. However, flies started to show up once the food was served.

Overall, the ambiance was great.
But the food and drinks felt overpriced for their taste and quality.

Good for a breakfast ride… With entrance of 200 pesos. 165 is consumable while 35 is for the environmental fee. There’s a lot of place to stay within the El Rio Cafe… All are Instagrammable

Best to be here in the morning…

Try their Tapang Baboy Damo…

The food here is nice overall. I really liked the tapang baboy ramo, it was flavorful and enjoyable. We also tried the nachos, which were pretty ordinary but came in a hearty portion. The drinks were okay, nothing special, but still pleasant. For dessert, we had the Biscoff cheesecake and I really loved it. Definitely a must-try when you visit.

The place itself is nice, with plenty of outdoor seating and a great view, which makes the dining experience more relaxing.

We went early Saturday afternoon, there’s not much guest at that time. Ordered nachos and chocolate chip drink and ended regretting it. The drink taste like it was made of some cheap powdered ingredients. The amount of serving of nachos is fair but that’s just it. We ate al fresco to enjoy the view and thinking the flies are gone, but they appeared few minutes after putting the food on the table.

Visited the place during the summer holiday. The cafe is situated on a ridge with a great view of the San Rafael River. Food wise, everything we ordered is delish (breakfast bangus, tapang baboy ramo, tocino, garlic longganisa) except for the waffle that tasted bland. Drinks, especially the hot chocolate, are to die for.

This place offers a great combination of nature and food. Dining with such a view is delightful. However, it can get crowded, which might explain the slow service. The food is decent for the price. There are also many spots to explore inside the cafe afterward, making it a great place to unwind.

The long drive was so worth it. The place is serene and youll surely find peace and tranquility here (we went here off peak hours so the case may not be the same during peak days/hours).

There is an entrance fee of 200 per head (excluding toddlers) but is consumable when you dine in their cafe.

The food in their cafe is so good, i am surprised with the serving – really justified the price. There’s plenty of space and you can dine either inside the cafe or al fresco. We opted to dine in their floating resto and ths experience was really fun, the kids loved it.
