Stopped in on a whim for Sunday lunch and boy did this place surprise us! Wife and I split the avocado toast, which was perfectly seasoned. She got the caprese salad, I got the andouille and grits. All were very, very good; would highly recommend!

Platter and Pour completely blew us away! From the moment we walked in, it felt like we’d stumbled upon one of those rare hidden gems that you almost don’t want to share—because it’s that good. Our server, Drew, was absolutely incredible—knowledgeable, warm, and went above and beyond by letting us sample wines to perfectly pair with our meal. That kind of attention to detail made the whole experience feel special.

Now let’s talk about the food… out of this world. The sous vide chicken Caesar salad was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced—but the real star? The prime rib sandwich. Hands down the best sandwich I’ve ever tasted. It literally melted in my mouth. I couldn’t stop stealing bites from my boyfriend—it was that irresistible! Every bite had layers of flavor, and you could taste the quality in every ingredient.

The wine selection was also fantastic—thoughtfully curated and full of great pairings at very reasonable prices. You can tell the team here cares deeply about what they serve.

Whether you’re a foodie, a wine lover, or just looking for a memorable night out, this place is a must. We’ll definitely be back!

Delightful mid-afternoon lunch at the bar with Drew. His enthusiasm, recommendations, and demeanor were wonderful. Accessible, versatile, and even surprising wine selection including a perfect Gruner Veltliner and a velvety California Tannat. Chef prepared the most delightful, attractive, and delicious cheese and charcuterie plate we’ve had in a long, long time. Thankful for this establishment!

We were visiting the city and we decided to check out this restaurant. The restaurant was cozy and quaint and we were served by Drew! Drew gave us great suggestions for our alcohol and wine choices. My children enjoyed the chocolate torte dessert served with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. I have created a new posting for this establishment on Yelp as I like to contribute to the success of small business owners!

Not a fan of wine but we were downtown tonight for Border Bash and stopped in for a cocktail. My girlfriend ordered a Cosmo Martini and I ordered a Makers & Diet Coke. We noticed that the bartender had to Google the recipe for a Cosmo so I wasn’t expecting anything special but the drink that was delivered was yellow and tasted like watered down orange juice. It was awful. Obviously my girlfriend didn’t drink it so we sent it back and the bartender got upset. We didn’t ask him to remake it because obviously he didn’t know how and we didn’t want to waste their vodka, I finished my drink and asked the waitress to bring the check for my drink which she did but then another lady that I suspect was the manager, stops her and tells us that we have to pay for the drink because they had used 3 oz of their liquor. So fine, I don’t want to bankrupt this small business lol, so I paid for the drink and left. Beware if you order anything that’s not already in a bottle because the bartender is very inexperienced. The waitress was very kind and provided good service but the manager that night has no idea how to run a business. The atmosphere is really weird. There’s nothing on the walls, just a few tables and chairs. Not sure how long this place has been in business but I’m confident that it’s future is short term with this kind of management.

There was nothing on the walls. I think with some paintings or photographs up it would help the atmosphere so much! Maybe I should ask about displaying my photographs?

The food and service were wonderful. We did a Pick 5 and loved everything but especially the truffle cheddar. The onion jam was exquisite too! We had a bottle of Art of the Earth, a German Riesling, which was just the right amount of sweet. We had great conversations with the staff. Thanks Larrh!

The atmosphere here is very strange. I have never wanted to drink inside of a health food store before. I normally want to relax. This is a weird hybrid of several different stores. The acoustics in this place are unbearable. Every little sound echoes. I was disappointed with both the wine and the food that I received. The price was not too bad but you get what you pay for. I think that they were trying to be nice but you could tell that they were very frazzled. Maybe I am just not a charcuterie board person but I found the combinations a little nasty and so did my partner. My partner actually got a little sick, which I did not, but I wonder if it could have been the deli meat from the board. There seem to be wine bottle everywhere in the bar area so maybe they are trying to block out that you are just drinking in a grocery store environment. I’m not sure what someone was thinking when they came up with this. At some point I heard from a friend that the anchor store was some sort of small business incubator but I can’t imagine why. If they are serious about their business they should try to get their own place. The atmosphere is just not good. Go to Rain instead. The atmosphere here just feels like a Food City. Don’t know why everyone wants to have a bar inside of a grocery store nowadays. I like the atmosphere to be nice and relaxing when I am drinking. Also google’s picture is wrong. That is the back of the building. We had to walk from the back because of parking so just be careful. There’s a construction site and I got a nail in my shoe 🙁

Not sure what this Matilda lady is talking about, but each of the shops are separate from each other. Literally why it’s called Abingdon Commons. It is a shared common space. Dani has done an amazing job with here. Every visit I’ve made there has been wonderful. Maybe pay attention to what you are reviewing next time and pick the building that encompasses all instead of an individual and then comparing about the whole.
