I would like to start the review with saying that our server Tony/Antonio was THE BEST. He is a gentleman and a scholar and amazing person and is great at what he does. I went to with my fiancé, sister and brother-in-law to Montville Diner before going pumpkin picking on a Sunday. The food was great! We’ll all had breakfast, my sister and I both ordered the western omelet and added cheese (American and Mozzarella), bro-in-law had eggs benedict and my fiancé had a plain scrambled and home fries. Cozy Diner with normal diner pricing, solid food, and even better service. Will be coming back and would highly recommend to check out.

I love the design and layout of the diner. It felt very vintage and classic but super clean and neat. Our waitress was very nice and attentive and food came out pretty cook, only waited about 5-10 mins after ordering.

Food was decent for a diner. Home fries needs some real seasoning. It was very bland. Coffee was actually good for a diner.

Amazing service! Every server that worked there seem to serve with a smile and positive attitude!
My bf and I also enjoyed the architecture. It had a very “home-y” feel. I ordered a pastrami sandwich with a side of fries. The fries are out of this world and have many different flavorings too. My bf and I will be returning soon.

We love this diner! It’s our favorite around. We’ve been there a few times and we are always greeted as if we’re family. Tony is an absolute gem of a guy. Everyone who works there is incredibly sweet and they make you feel very welcome.

Montville Diner is it very relaxing and enjoyable place to eat. The food is very good, the service is excellent, and the pricing is reasonable — the three magic ingredients to look for in a good restaurant!
It has a very beautiful wood panelled interior, and the owners and staff treat you like “you are family”. The restaurant is right on route 46 West, and the driveway is easily accessible directly from the highway.
This is my favorite restaurant……. For the reasons above……. And many more! If you come there once, chances are you will be returning soon.
Some of my favorite dishes are…..
New York Benny: like eggs benedict, but with Nova Scotia lox (in place of the Canadian bacon). When the egg yolks mix with the lox and hollandaise sauce — what a magical concoction!!!
Fish and Chips: the fish (four generous pieces) are coated with a fluffy delicious breading, and the fries (chip) are much better and more natural than any fries you usually get at a restaurant
French Onion Soup: their French onion soup is some of the best I’ve ever had. Some restaurants use a lot of salt to add flavor…… But not here — they just let the natural ingredients form the delicious taste!
Steak and Eggs: an old favorite served with a generous portion of steak and eggs (any way you want them)……. And delicious home fries. Order this meal with an English muffin and some steak sauce…… And you’ll be ordering it again soon.

My husband and I were.visiting the area and happened upon a review for this diner. Our expectations were more than met! Our waiter Sergio was friendly, knowledgeable and always had coffee ready for me. My husband’s waffle was light and airy and my Taylor ham and eggs was excellent. And, oh, the French fries are amazing! If we are ever back in the area, we will return!
