Finally tried this place after seeing lots of recommendations online. The guy at the counter was incredibly friendly and hospitable and food came out fast and hot. For a pizza/sub shop, the food is excellent! The pizza is among the tastiest I’ve found anywhere, and this was just from ordering slices. They have some great, creative subs, and everything is reasonably priced.
The chicken parm sub had the best cutlets I’ve had outside of a sit down restaurant. I would have preferred the cheese to be melted with the sub, and marinara sauce wouldn’t be my first choice, but it was very good overall.
The parking situation is terrible however. For now, there’s an abandoned CVS across the street, but otherwise I don’t think there’s anywhere to park around the building.
We’ll definitely come back when we’re in the area!

This is the worst place in Haverhill it took them an hour and 45 minutes to get my food then when I do get it the chicken in my sub is completely RAW, not some of it the whole piece. I will never order or eat here again I hope you don’t either.

Recently saw a post about their new cheese steak and I was excited to try it out.
Unfortunately, it really fell flat. I called ahead to order when I was leaving Far Corner. The girl answered and placed me on hold, I drove all the way to the restaurant still on hold, walked in and ordered in person while still on hold. A couple minutes later the girl at the counter looked down at the phone and hung up on my call that was still on hold.
Food took about 25min and their “viral” cheesesteak didn’t live up to the hype.
The sandwich was literally dripping water and soggy when I opened it. The steak was soggy/mushy, grey and completely unseasoned. I didn’t taste any alfredo sauce and the only saving grace was the everything roll. The owner asked me what I thought and I told him it was bad and I couldn’t even finish it. He explained they were going through a weeks worth of shaved steak daily since the sandwich went viral and weren’t able to properly defrost it and keep up with volume and said that is probably what caused the soggy mushy meat. In hindsight, I suspect the guy I saw in the back running water into a bag was defrosting the meat they used for my sandwich.
In my opinion, if he couldn’t put out a good product he should’ve just said they were sold out.
It would’ve been a 1 star if the owner wasn’t so nice but at the same time I would think if you had a restaurant and someone told you they couldn’t finish their food because it was so unpalatable and you as the owner could identify the issue, you would offer some kind of credit so they’ll try it again.

I’m sure the pizza would have been good but I was only able to take a couple bites because it was so spicy hot my mouth felt like it was on fire. I admittedly am sensitive when it comes to very spicy food, so it may not bother the average person, but I was very uncomfortable because it lingered in my mouth for a while. I just wish I would have known ahead of time (and really, they SHOULD inform customers of the spiciness of the sauce) so I could have ordered something else and not wasted almost $30 with DoorDash fees and then only be able to have a couple of bites.

I’ve had the pizza before and loved it. Today I had an Italian Sub on a grilled Ciabatta. Fantastic sandwich, it’s a must try. Plus I chatted with the owner and he’s very passionate about his product and all around a good guy.

Heard a lot about this place decided to give it a try. We got a large chicken broccoli Alfredo pizza, large cheese, and the meatballs for an appetizer. The chicken Alfredo pizza was delicious however, it would’ve been much better with way more Alfredo sauce. It was pretty dry. Cheese pizza was average. The kids loved the meatballs. The sauce was really good. Wasn’t acidic at all great flavor. Didn’t take pictures of the cheese pizza or meatballs.

I heard about Nelly’s through some food communities on social media. I found myself in Haverhill today so I gave it a shot.
I was very impressed by the freshly made chicken cutlets. I also had cheese pizza, and in my opinion, its one of the better pizzas around.
The owner is a former butcher, and cares about his food. Give Nellys a shot.

After a year of reading incredible reviews on MVE, I finally decided to try Nelly’s! I ordered a large “In a Pickle” pizza and a side of large chicken fingers with ranch.
I was initially promised an hour for delivery, but the order arrived within 30 minutes, delivered by a very pleasant and energetic driver. His enthusiasm for his job was evident, and it was clear he took pride in providing excellent service.
The pizza met all my expectations. A combination of dill pickle, thinly sliced red onion, ranch, and oils. The crust was perfectly charred and crispy on the outside, with a chewy interior. The chicken fingers were super moist and crispy, with no tendons running through them, clearly brined, and fried to perfection.
Nelly’s is definately a contender in the “best pizza in Haverhill” battle, if not the Merrimack Valley!

I ordered from Nellys for the first time off door dash. We were excited to read all the great reviews and get some food. My husband ordered the whole cow burger, I got chicken parm, and we got a side of wings. Very disappointing, the store forgot the entire burger. The bag was sealed shut with several paper clips so I know it wasn’t the dasher…. But the chicken parm was incredible and the wings were pretty great too, great crunch and flavor. The parm itself was massive- made the bread look teeny! My pic is only half of the sub. It’s great they give you marinara on the side too, cuz you def need it for the excess chicken.
