Ordered the soft tacos and they were delicious. Be sure to let them know what type of tortilla you prefer corn or flour. We also ordered guacamole. I highly recommend this family owned restaurant ♥️

Instant rice, dehydrated ground beef. No seasoning on the chicken enchilada or beef enchilada. Chicken on enchilada was dry and both enchiladas needed some form of sauce. Plain Jane and over priced.

No place is perfect, but for a small family owned restaurant in Kinder, LA, it’s pretty good. My server was friendly and attentive. The food was slightly salty but delicious, and the temperature and speed of service were respectable. The Blue Diamond Margaritas were pretty good.
My overall experience is that if you are in the Kinder area and are craving Mexican or Tex-Mex, I would recommend giving El Maguey a try.

This may be a bit hard to find. It is located behind the Quick Stop. This is a very good Mexican restaurant.
The food was terrific, wait staff was friendly and helpful. Seating was quick, ordering was quick and easy, food was delivered hot fresh and delicious.
The Hawaiana Fajitas was awesome. Plenty of food easily shared between two to three people.
Reasonable pricing on all menu items.

This place had the Best Mexican food anywhere I’ve been. I was super surprised. Little town of Kinder. The staff were so nice as well! Highly recommended the street tacos and chimichangas. Salsa was excellent!

Got there right before closing and still served us.Great wait staff she was very attentive to my family. Food excellent. The thing not good was the flautas flavor was but the were made in flour and not corn.

The server wouldn’t let my wife substitute flour tortilla for corn. The food was ok. The dining room was crowded with empty tables. Wasn’t the worst place I ever ate, but it was definitely not the best.
