Oh my goodness, when I say that I had an incredible experience here, I mean it! I don’t drink coffee very often, so I wasn’t very educated on what to order —but Camille, one of the baristas, was downright amazing! She was patient, kind, and very polite, taking the time to help me figure out am order I’d enjoy. Her recommendation was on point, and I LOVED the Iced oat-milk latte with an extra shot of espresso, half-caf, two pumps of vanilla and one pump of caramel, light ice, extra foam, with cinnamon powder on top! Thank you to The Bakery, and a BIG thank you to Camille!

Skip the chains. Come here instead. The owner clearly takes pride in her cafe and her food. She’s super friendly, too. The counter area is beautiful. All the baked goods look fantastic. You can also get a breakfast sandwich on a bagel or a homemade english muffin — white or whole wheat. I wish I weren’t just passing through.

Chose this restaurant for a light breakfast, and really enjoyed it. We ordered the breakfast special, which consists of eggs, cheese and bacon on a wheat English muffin. I ordered a regular coffee ( plenty of types to choose from) and my wife had a caramel latte. Coffees were good, and sandwiches were delicious and filling. We ate in and there was ample seating at 9 am.

What a lovely cozy place! Friendly and welcoming staff nestled right downtown in Rutland. We got the breakfast special (ham, eggs, spinach and swiss on English muffin) and the daily quiche. Delicious coffee and kale berry smoothie too.
Highly recommend stopping in for breakfast or lunch!
