Started as a pop-up in 2017 on California’s Central Coast, F’n K Tacos taco shop brings flavors to Rockford inspired by family in Jalisco, Mexico and East LA. Think real good street-style tacos on fresh corn tortillas. Husband and wife team, Frank ‘n Kaitlin, are committed to using fresh, high-quality ingredients, creating authentic flavors, and providing uncommonly good service in a fun atmosphere. Their staple menu includes carne asada, machaca chicken, and pork barbacoa tacos plus fresh salsa and guacamole made daily as well as rotating specials that include lengua, shrimp, pozole and more.

Just stopped in for a quick bite while working. Not looking for dinner but rather just a taco and chips + salsa.
Tried a Machaca taco. That was the dumbest decision ever. I should’ve tried seven of them!! Got it “Frank’s Way”…not sure what that means but it was pretty darn good. Chips were made in-house (pretty sure) and were great. Salsa was just about perfect.
Will return another time to try EVERYTHING!!!

Met Frank the owner and he invited me to their Taco shop in Rockford, MI. I was craving a legitimate breakfast burrito and they did not disappoint! I lived in southern CA for 7 years and was missing a good authentic taco shop, and these guys deliver that! Frank the owner is super nice, and the staff is great. I would highly recommend this to anyone. They also have seating in the back that can fit up to 25 people.

I went here today for the first time. In town on business and we went for lunch. I got 3 tacos, the carne asada, machaca chicken and pork Barbacoa… everything was so incredible! I’m from North Carolina and we have nothing to even compare to this place. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! When I get to come back I’ll be stopping back in for sure. I wish I had tried more but there’s always next time. Also, don’t forget the Mexican bottled coke!

Great spot to have in Rockford, their tacos are as good or better than tacos I have had made by friends from Mexico or taco spots in larger cities such as Chicago. The shrimp tacos are the best I have had, but I always am impressed with anything on their menu. In every dish you can taste the quality, freshness, love, and care they put into their food. Absolutely worth trying their breakfast burritos too. If you like spice, the hot salsa is perfectly balanced with heat and flavor. The staff is always friendly, and the owners are often there working and great to chat with.

Expert hometown amazing and delicious tacos that will challenge the best .. open most days from 11a to 8p you can order online thru the TOAST app .. reasonably priced tacos for everyone .. beef, pork, chicken, shrimp and veggie tacos for the vegetarian. Chips and salsa, loaded chips and the “walking” taco are all excellent.. give them a try you will love the food and the prices

Just like stepping into a little taco stand in Mexico or Cali… this place is on point! From the marinated meats they use in the tacos, fresh ingredients, to the Mexican coke… Always a good choice and reasonably priced!

Love this taco place. Our favorite is Luna downtown and bam out of nowhere we found this place that is seriously just as good! The chicken and pork are so juicy. The quesadilla is my kids favorite. The salsa is in a large container when you get it to go and is so delicious. The chips were so fresh they were still warm. My kids ate every bite and asked for more. Maybe next time I will take a second for some pictures before digging in. Update. We have been back several times and I never remember to take pics of the actual food. Trust me it’s good and consistent
