My wife and I went to IL Gatto e la Volpe for dinner and overall had a pleasant experience. The atmosphere was nice and welcoming, and the quality of the food was good. We enjoyed our meal and had a comfortable evening there.
One thing that made the ordering process a bit time-consuming was that the menu was written in Italian. Of course, we could ask the waiter or waitress for explanations, but it still made choosing an item a little awkward.
On the positive side, there was plenty of parking space available, which made the visit very convenient. Overall, it was a good experience and a nice place to try.

Had my son’s baptism lunch here last Saturday and I can’t say enough good things about this Italian restaurant. Excellent service and FANTASTIC food! Our guests went home very full and very happy. I’m so happy with everything and thankful we have a great Italian restaurant in Bradford finally! Grazie mille for making his day even more special.

The complimentary bread was a great touch—served warm and crispy with a delicious oil and chile. The pizza was huge, definitely big enough to share, and the pasta was packed with flavor. The restaurant itself is very clean and beautifully decorated. The only surprise was finding out the water cost $6.

Absolutely delicious, and friendly, efficient service – it’s my birthday and we planned to order takeout from a different local restaurant, but when we called they said it would take over 1.5 hours for pickup!!! I found this spot randomly on Google Maps and when I called, they said they could have our order in 15 minutes. So impressive, and my husband said the restaurant was pristine inside and looked like a beautiful vibe and some place we would enjoy dining in at. The pizza and caprese salad we ordered were both excellent. We will definitely be returning!!

The pasta dishes were equally impressive—fresh, rich, and layered with depth and authenticity. The tiramisu is the best I’ve ever had. Light, creamy, and perfectly balanced.

The staff here was absolutely wonderful — very friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. You can really tell they care about the customer experience, which made for a very pleasant atmosphere.
As for the food, it unfortunately didn’t quite live up to the same standard. While it was nicely presented, the flavors were a bit underwhelming and not quite what we were hoping for. That said, the service alone made it a worthwhile stop, and with a few tweaks to the menu, I could see this place becoming a favorite.

From start to finish, the service at Il Gatto e la Volpe in Bradford was unmatched. I originally called after hours, didn’t leave a message, and was shocked when they returned my call just 15 minutes later to offer a reservation — no hesitation, no hoops to jump through. I was booking an holiday party for our workplace of 14 people. After contacting several local restaurants who wouldn’t allow à la carte dining, I was genuinely delighted to be accommodated so easily.
They followed up two days before our dinner to confirm, which was such a thoughtful touch, and the exceptional service continued throughout our visit. Our waiter had a fantastic sense of humour and delivered some of the best service I’ve experienced in a long time. The food was delicious, the atmosphere warm, and the entire evening felt effortless.
We left happy, impressed, and already planning our return. Highly recommend! Thank you for making our holiday party a night to remember!

We were there again for the millionth time yesterday. By far the best Italian food in all of Ontario! We can’t stop talking about how delicious it is, fresh and just full of flavour. And it’s consistent every single time. The service is quick, the staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is fantastic! The staff are always genuinely happy and helpful, especially Cassandra! She’s always got a smile on her face and is so accommodating. We’ve had every single family member and friends try this place cause it’s beyond compare!! Couldn’t recommend it enough. Whatever the owners and the chefs are doing, keep doing it!! The only thing I wish they had was small kid portions but that’s ok cause then there’s left over for mom and dad later lol make sure to reserve for bigger parties.
