The food had decent flavors and tasted more like homemade dishes than restaurant-style. The Chicken 65 masala was quite subtle and could have been better. Egg podimas was missing salt. The Chicken kothu, Curry Dosa, and Biryani were all delicious with the accompanying salna. The Rosemilk was also quite tasty.
The service was excellent. They took our feedback and I hope they address it. Unfortunately, some of the items on the menu are still unavailable and little pricey for the quantity served.
Talking about the food, it was absolutely amazing and scrumptious! Not a single subpar item on the special non veg thali! Every single meat dish whether it was the chicken, mutton, fish or eggs were absolutely delicious! Would love to have it again too!
The food overall was good and captured the authentic Kongunadu flavors I was hoping for. Most dishes met expectations, though the parotta was a big letdown and they readily accepted to improve.
Service was fast, attentive, and pleasant, and the atmosphere is excellent—modern, comfortable, and perfect for a relaxed meal. It’s a great place to enjoy traditional Kongunadu food with a beer, especially with friends or family.
I’ll definitely be back and hope they improve and maintain the food quality to match the rest of the experience.Mutton Kola and Kothu Parotta are must try.
This place tops our list of Indian non-veg restaurants in the Seattle area, along with Madhurai Mess which is also a fave of mine.
Compliments to our waiter Ram, who attended to us well, brought out raw onions for me, made sure water was filled.
Will be back (a lot!!).
The food and ambience were decent. The appams with coconut milk, idiyappam, chicken biryani, and fish were all good and met our expectations. However, the mutton chukka was extremely chewy and disappointing.
The real issue was the service. We ordered food for our baby, which arrived quite late. By the time it came, our daughter had already gotten up, and we were in the middle of having dessert. She had just started eating from the to-go box when, suddenly, we were rudely asked to leave because there was a wait.
There was no empathy, no polite request—just a disrespectful and rude approach from the manager. We were forced to leave midway, and our daughter barely got two bites of her food.
This is not how you treat a family with young children. What started as a decent and enjoyable experience was completely ruined by poor customer service. We left feeling embarrassed and upset.
We will not be returning, and unfortunately, we won’t be recommending this place to our friends either. Customer experience matters, and this was truly disappointing.
As for the food, it was a mixed bag. The Mutton Sukka was yum and the Mutton Biryani was great, definitely the highlights of the meal. The Ghee Dosa was decent but nothing extraordinary, and the Natu Kozhi starter was just okay.
The biggest disappointment was the main course combo of Veg Chettinad and Kovai Chicken with parottas. The parottas were thick and heavy (we were expecting something lighter like Malabar style), which didn’t pair well with the curries. I’ll definitely come back for the biryani, but I’ll be skipping the parottas next time.
