Very authentic Indian food, family owned restaurant. Everything tasted great. We got butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and goat curry my least favorite was the goat as it had too much onion.
The only thing that I really didn’t like how often we were asked if we are done or if we need something to the point that we couldn’t have a conversation. I understand they are trying to be nice but it was too much

The food here is consistently good and not overly greasy. The shahi paneer and paneer korma are usually spot on. The daal makhani is good but not Delhi/Motimahal style. The most important thing: the naan is actually very good and will remind you of a naan from a proper tandoor—for us the naan basically makes or breaks the food so the good naan is why we come here. The chow mein is also pretty good though there is some variation in consistency. The seating is reasonable but not too fancy. The people are warm. I hope this place gets more attention and business.

Excellent service. Food is so delicious, freshly made to order and as soon as you walk in the door your taste buds are activated by all the savory ingredients & spices. Also appreciate how secure and tight the containers were especially for the curry and tikka masala. I carried out but would love to dine in next time.
***UPDATED*** Dined in today and was even more impressed with the food, cleanliness and excellent service. Food is even more delicious when dining in. Thank you so much.

My review is based on the lunch buffet. The flavor was comparable to other restaurants in the area, and the price and variety were reasonable. However, some of the food was not as warm or fresh as expected, and a few items were refilled only after asking. With better attention to heat and freshness, the buffet could be a much better experience.

I am not sure what is happening here with all the negative reviews, it almost looks like someone is trying to take down this restaurant. We get food from them once a month every time we miss eating indian food. We love it! Last night we ordered food and my husband picked it up. With 50$ we had so much food that 4 people could eat EASILY. The rice was delicious, even today reheated. We got the butter chicken which was delicious, the tikka lamb, rice, lentil soup and naan. All great!

The BEST Indian lunch buffet. The best butter chicken and naan. Lots of variety, goat, salad, lentils, are just a few things that come to mind. Really high quality food and freshly made. Also they play good music.

Food and atmosphere here was really good. I have been coming to Taste of India for 15 years. It is truly the best Indian food in the Darien/Willowbrook area.

The best Indian food I ever had at US. The chicken biriyani was just above average (definitely tastes different than any other Indian restaurant), but the Masala Dosa was mind-blowing.
Price reasonable. We will again if we go again. Above all, all of their food is halal.

This was our first time trying Indian food, and not only was the food phenomenal, the experience itself was great. We got both the Butter Chicken and the Lamb Curry, and the flavors and textures blew us away. I’ve never had anything like it and will be coming back for sure. The wait staff was extremely attentative, and refilled our water many times. They also came to ask us if we wanted to get any rice as we hadn’t ordered any. We didn’t know to order some with our meals, but they came out and let us know it is pretty standard to put the sauces ontop of rice. We will definetely be back to try out more of the extensive menu!

I was visiting Chicago, and was craving Indian food. Placed Kothu parata and egg fried rice in uber eats. I got a call from restaurant saying kothu paratha is not available. I asked for goat biryani so person on the call (a lady) said you owe $3 more, so I have to modify in the uber eats order. I told her I can’t do that. She said cancel the order and re order it. I told I will be charged if I do so. She said she will call uber eats so that I won’t be charged.
Anyway fast forward I canceled the order and I was charged. I called uber customer service and explained the situation. Customer service agent said they will check with restaurant as I wait on the call. I was told that restaurant denies asking me to cancel and reorder.
Anyway long story short TASTE OF INDIA RESTAURANT LIED ABOUT THE CONVERSATION AND GOT A FREE $30 sale.
I don’t like the people who lie. And don’t refer anyone to be scammed again. Hope this review helps someone out there.
