My wife and I vistited for our first time for lunch. We ordered the Chicken Momos as an app, the tomatoe chutney was FANTASTIC! The “dumplings” were stuffed full and absolutely delicious! We ordered 2 of the drinks on the specials menu, the Nojito (no alcohol) and the Chai iced tea, both were wonderful and refreshing, the Chai ice tea had immense flavor. We ordered the lunch Chicken Korma and Mango Korma, with butter naan. The Chicken Korma was absolutely delightful, I tried my wife’s Mango Korma, it was also full of flavor, she loved it. Our waitress was Nirajan, she was attentive and kind, our food well was timed which we appreciated. We will most definitely be back and frequent customers. Such a wonderful little gem to have in East Providence.

We have been here twice already and had only great experiences and fantastic food. I dream about the momo (dumplings) – the butter chicken is excellent, as well as the lamb. Swad is a hidden gem for awesome Indian cuisine. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the service is prompt and very pleasant. You wont be disappointed.

When I drive for Doordash, I also love coming here to pick up orders. They packed the food perfectly amd the customers are always happy. The owner is usually on site, and is always so kind and hands on. This is a great locally owned spot!

Let me just say I have been eating Indian cuisine for 30 years At local restaurants in Providence, East Greenwich and surrounding areas. Swad is the best by far. We started with the coconut curry mussels, tender and flavorful. I even had them v box up the broth to take home. I had the Lamb Saag my favorite dish and it surpassed all the other restaurants. The lamb was so tender, falling apart you didn’t need to use a knife to cut it. Flavors were well balanced with a small kick of heat, very enjoyable! My fiancé had the Coconut shrimp curry and it was mouth watering. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the flavors just blended together so well. Of course you cannot forget to order the Naan to help you scoop up all the mouthwatering goodness. The Naan is flavor packed, we chose the garlic and Cilantro. So fluffy and soft, you can’t go wrong with any flavor! The owner and his wait staff were very kind and generous. The restaurant itself is very clean and has a nice atmosphere, I also enjoyed the music and couldn’t sit still in my seat while savoring every bite lol. If you love Indian cuisine, please take a drive to Riverside, it’s well worth the trip. They’re located right across the street from Willet Pond. Absolutely fire (literally)! The food was so spicy I saw the pearly gates for a moment. If you’re looking for good Indian food that doesn’t hold back this is the place! Also, as someone who is allergic to dairy and eggs, this place was also very refreshing to eat at with the menu signaling which items were dairy free and vegan. The service was amazing too, I wish i remembered our server’s name because he was amazing. He was fun and even ran out to stop us when we forgot the card we paid with! Overall it was very nice, and if I lived in the area, I would be a frequent flyer.
