The menu offered a wide range of options, from classic Southern favorites to more contemporary dishes, all made with the freshest and highest-quality ingredients. I especially enjoyed the wood-fired pizzas, which were absolutely delicious, and the grilled shrimp and grits, which were bursting with flavor.
But what really stood out to me was the level of service. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to ensure that my dining experience was perfect. From recommendations on wine pairings to ensuring that my food was prepared to my liking, they went above and beyond to make sure I had an unforgettable meal.
The ambiance of the restaurant is also worth mentioning. The rustic decor and cozy fireplace created a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, which was perfect for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Woodlands Grill at Barnsley Resort to anyone looking for exceptional food, outstanding service, and a memorable dining experience. Thank you to the entire staff for a truly wonderful evening
Steak cooked to perfection and the alfredo sauce was exemplary. Large portions and since I wasn’t able to finished the pasta so I had lunch for the next day!
Had such a nice time may be making another trip to celebrate next year again.
My husband enjoyed his burger well enough, though the accompanying fries were unfortunately cold. I cobbled my entree together by combining a Caesar salad and an appetizer – the burrata caprese and fried green tomatoes. Both were perfectly executed, and the mound of fresh burrata cheese was extraordinarily fresh (perhaps made in-house?).
Even though we were here on a quiet weekday night, it seems that reservations are mandatory for all visitors. For larger parties celebrating a special get-together, there is a beautiful screened in porch that seems like it would seat 8-10.
We didn’t want to sit in the main dining room since it kinda looks like the dining hall of a conference center or retirement community, and chose to sit in the lounge instead. We should have sat outside which I didn’t realize was an option at the time.
The table we sat at was dirty and had to ask for it to be cleaned, which the bar tender got around to after our app was served. Service was generally good beside that. The food however was not, especially considering the prices, on top of the already high daily resort fee.
Pimento cheese beignets (5 small bites) were gummy in the middle, not light and fluffy like a beignet should be.
The smash burger was smaller than the bun by like 20%. No idea on flavor, my nephew ate half of it and left the rest behind.
The grown up grilled cheese was pretty good, but didn’t have basil on it like in the description and wasn’t served with any smoked tomato dip either. Keep in mind here almost everything is at least $20 a place, even the grilled cheese.
Fish tacos were really small and dry. They badly needed some sauce.
My mom said the chicken salad croissant “wasn’t the best she’s ever had”. She was being nice.
Fries we really good though! All in all we spent about $40 a person for a terribly un-tasty lunch.
