We’re so excited that Shah’s Halal opened in Hamden, because they’re now our closest location! The food was consistent to other locations we’ve visited, and everything was delicious. I’m always particularly impressed with their hot wings and Philly cheesesteak. The staff were friendly as they customized our platters and gyro for us, and the kofta was made fresh! I also couldn’t help but notice how clean this location was. Glad to have them nearby!

The food was amazing. I’ve had the chicken platter. I didn’t learn that hot sauce is nothing to play with. Their wings are pretty good no complaints on my end. Next, I gotta try to fish sandwich and a burger.

Very clean shop, the worker in the front was very nice and polite. She helped me with my order, Chicken Platter & Combo platter with everything. She was very patient with my order and got everything right with extra sauces (on the side & over)
The food is on par with every great halal restaurant in CT (Mekah’s, Crown Fried Chicken, The Halal Spot, etc iykyk). Serving sizes are very respectable and they even do catering!

Sha’s halal at Hamden CT is an excellent location to get quick carry out or dine in.
We came from San Diego CA and tried out the Sha’s halal as first time visitor to this location.

I can’t recommend this place highly enough. I used to get Halal Guys on the green in New Haven for years and was so disappointed when it closed. I’d say Shah’s is even better and more authentic to the “Halal food truck” roots. A combo plate is enough for two meals. Definitely a go-to spot.

Literally love this place employees are so kind all the time and food is always amazing. I recommend their lamb gyro with cucumber tomatoes white sauce hot sauce and the fried pickles. That hot sauce is super hot tho!
