We had such a great time at Los Carboncitos! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. They prepared the most perfect guacamole right at the table, customized exactly the way we asked for it. Portions are generous, and everything we tried was outstanding. The sopes were full of flavor, the steak alambre was perfectly cooked, and the mixed tacos gave us a little bit of everything we love. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to and recommending to friends!

This is not Los Dos, so if you’re expecting yellow cheese and things swimming in sauce you will not like it. I’m from Mexico and this was delicious. They are from CDMX so also adjust what you order. The Al Pastor was the best one I’ve had in Denver, and the Lengua was very soft and delicious. My husband enjoyed his Molcajete maybe it’s not as visually appealing as others complained about but I care more about taste. They had tepache which is unheard of here in this area. And the salsas were finally hot!! Service was friendly but was slow. However the food was really good so we’ll be back.

Los Carboncitos had really great tacos with excellent tortillas! I love a place that serves multiple salsa options and these didn’t disappoint. The margarita was also delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive and it would be a great restaurant for a larger group. We’ll be back soon!

Margaritas were great, chips have good flavor, lots of gluten free options. Food was very fresh and more authentic Mexican. Service is a little bit slower, but I think that’s because everything is made in house and very fresh. Honestly, no complaints. If you haven’t been here yet, it’s definitely worth trying!

We finally found our place for Mexican! Can’t wait to come back for dinner and drinks with friends. The restaurant is beautiful inside and the staff is warm and inviting. Ask for Sophia-she is so knowledgeable about the menu and truly cares about her customers! Truly authentic Mexican (Mexico City centric, specifically). Delicious, fresh, and affordable with hearty portions. What more could you ask for?

I was confused when I saw some negative reviews, because there’s really no place in the area with this level of food quality! It’s really authentic Mexican food!!!!! We had such a fantastic time. Nelly, made the experience truly special her recommendations were spot on, and her attention to every detail was amazing. The vibe of the place is so inviting, and because of her suggestion, we returned on a Friday for the live music, which was a blast. Every dish was fresh and flavorful, and the Key Lime Pie… wow! I’m usually super picky about desserts, I tried everything and loved it all. If you want a truly great experience, make sure to ask for Nelly. Can’t wait to come back!

Food is delicious. Salsa flight is good, variety is impressive. Flour and corn tortillas are unmatched, anywhere. Guacomole was great. We asked our server for a recommendation and her recomendation was really good.
After receiving our food our server checked on us immediately and then vacated the bar. We wanted more chips; our guacomole was delivered with no chips. We finished our drinks and wanted to order more drinks but no one was around.
The decorations are cool and the restuarunt looks nice but the atmosphere has a sense of not quite in full swing. Draft is not working, bottled beer is $7/ $8. There are glasses out, not put away making the space look cluttered or unfinished. There is not a dedicated bar tender. For a neighborhood spot, this feels unwelcoming.

Everything was so yummy! We really liked the style of this place- not your typical Mexican food restaurant- starting with the salsas- we loved the different types they had- on the plate with rge smaller samples- the reds were spicier and all had great flavor – the larger bowl was really good too
we ordered the carnitas burrito and the Piccadillo burrito- both were so delicious! The meat was seasoned perfectly! The green Chile was DELICIOUS! And the rice was done perfectly.
We also had the churros- which were perfectly done with delicious ice cream on the side! Our server was great- she explained all the dishes to us in great detail!
Oh! And the side salads with the plates was perfect! The dressing on the salad was so simple yet so delicious – chefs kiss!
The location is very nice- spacious and a nice patio too! We will definitely be back
