The best cheesesteaks I’ve ever tried. It’s run by a Palestinian family and 2 people are running the show. The lady (Suzy) taking our order was the sweetest and had the best vibe. I’ve had cheesesteaks before from a NYC cart and didn’t like it. I was skeptical to try them again but this blew me away. It was around $70 for 4 cheesesteaks and fries. A bit expensive but I wasn’t the one paying. Other then that I would recommend this area if your nearby and want to find some good authentic halal food. They also gave us the biscoff dessert free of charge and I would recommend getting it (as a person who loves biscoff).

I stopped by Ray J’s Cheesesteak after seeing a TikTok saying it was halal, and it completely exceeded my expectations. I’m usually picky about halal cheesesteaks, but this was on a different level. The meat quality was excellent, the portions were generous, and the staff were friendly. The seasoning was spot on, and the bread was great.
I tried both the Alpha and the Ray J’s Royal. The Alpha is a solid, simpler option, but the Royal is the standout for me. Highly recommend giving it a try.

My Alpha was great and the ribeye was very soft. If the bread was toasted it would be amazing. The onions are delicious but maybe a dust of salt would have made them even better! Customer service was phenomenal! I mean bringing my order to my vehicle…. awesome

Driving home everyday from work I pass by Ray-J’s, and I’ve been thinking to myself I should try it out. Today I finally made the stop and do not regret it. First let me just say the staff is friendly and welcoming. All the options looked appetizing, making my decision a little tough. Thankfully, input from the woman who took my order helped make up my mind. I got Ray J’s Royal cheesesteak and substituted the sweet peppers for jalapenos. Needless to say this steak is on point. So delicious and filling. Glad I stop by. If you’re looking for a great cheesesteak and quality service definitely try out Ray-J’s.

Hands down the best cheesesteak I’ve ever had. I grew up spending summers in Philadelphia, always trying to find the best cheesesteak. Happened to stop here recently on my way up from MD to Philly, and it absolutely blew me away. The rolls are fresh and the meat is tender and flavorful. The pudding is also amazing, home made. The employees are also very kind and helpful. This is a must try! Wish they had a location closer to where I live!!

Excellent customer service, ordered the Alpha cheesesteak. Adversa bread was not the best choice. (I would have liked Liscios or Amoroso rolls) and onions not cooked long enough made it an okay cheesesteak even though the meat had nice flavor.

Please let the 5 star reviews speak for themselves and to all the 1 star reviews please remember this place just opened. Allow them some time to adjust hours, inventory, and menus. As with any new place they are ironing out any issues that come up. 1 star reviews significantly impact a business so please rethink before doing so.
Just because a business isn’t open when they were supposed to doesn’t warrant a bad review. Did you ask why they closed early? Maybe cause they had more customers than expected and ran out of meat. So order more you say. Did you know most new business don’t have a ton of free’d up money to let product just sit there for 2 weeks? They put all their capital into the nice equipment, lighting, tables and umbrellas u sit on, and the workers to cook your food. I was frustrated the night before because they closed early and I really wanted a cheesesteak. I decided to give them that 2nd chance and thank god I did!
Ray J’s cheesesteaks are amazing. It’s no longer warranted having to drive to Philly for a “decent” cheesesteak. I got the alpha with mushrooms added and husband got the alpha. Love love love the sesame seeded roll. You’re not gonna find that anywhere else! We went home to eat it and they were not soggy at all. Loaded with meat and had plenty of flavor. We go to Philly at least once a month and it’s always soggy, messy, and getting more expensive and less packed each time. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. You can order at a window outside or go inside for drinks and utensils. Tables and umbrellas outside for u to sit and eat. Great place give them a try or a second chance to make things right!

Thanks again!!! This is one of the best cheesesteaks I’ve ever tried and I’m from Philly hahaa. I love that their isn’t any gouy sticky fats like some other cheesesteaks have in it. Good quality meat and the bread was fresh. Good people family owned business. I’ll always stop by when I’m in Delaware thanks again I appreciate everything may God bless

It was my first time in person visiting the restaurant. I visited the store based upon a video from social media, and what attracted me was the halal meat. When i tried the steak, my goodness. The steak never fell out the back of the bread, or broke apart. It stayed in tact. And the cheez whiz was amazing. The quality of beef is great. Top tier. I will definitely go back. This is a go to spot. Do not hesitate to go.

Had a great convo with the cashier whose brother owned the spot. Very hospitable my entire time there. The food was AMAZING. Definitely in the best cheesesteak running and I’ve traveled many places for one. Definitely would recommend for someone in the area that’s dying for a Philly cheesesteak and doesn’t want to take the drive or pay insane prices in Philly
