Shoutout to Moo Deng, too. They were super chill and friendly—really made the whole experience more enjoyable. It’s not every day you get service that makes you feel like you’re genuinely welcome, so I appreciated that.
And the Zen Bowl Salad? I don’t normally rave about salads, but this one was really something. Fresh, flavorful, and just the right amount of crunch. Perfect if you’re looking for something healthy but still tasty.
Highly recommend stopping by if you’re looking for a solid smoothie or a tasty salad!
I found this to be an interesting concept for a salad based restaurant, I liked it!
There are quite a number of combinations on the menu, I ordered one, and my wife built her own combination.
However, the guy taking our orders could have been more cordial when my wife asked questions regarding the ingredients.
She asked by name what some things were, and he would simply say no, not saying what it actually was, but making her continue to ask until she got it correct.
The food was good and original.
We’ll try it again and see.
Perhaps it was just a bad day for him.
A favorite for sure! I love eating at Crisp and Green and trying the different bowls, salads and drinks. The restaurant has a great aesthetic and is always clean. You get to see when they’re making your food and the process is fairly quick.
Service is fine. If staff were a bit more passionate and joyful they’d take this place to a different experience level.
My friend is Vegan and Gluten-Free so she made some mods to her bowl–which the staff graciously accommodated, even making several recommendations along the way. The manager trained the rest of the staff on food allergies and proper handling as she was making my friend’s bowl. Very thorough! If you have food sensitivities or other dietary restrictions the same person that starts your bowl will assemble it all the way down so that there’s no contamination!
We both had the Wild Child! Hers without meat or dairy. Both were absolutely delicious! The veggies including leafy greens were crispy, and the rice was the perfect texture! The flavor combination was on-point! We also got an Agua Fresca and smoothie to try! Both were tasty and not overly sweet. I spent about $35 for the two of us. I feel like that’s pretty fair–especially because we got a second meal out of one bowl. Highly recommend!!!
They ever very nice to me, I ordered a apple cider but when I found out it had one of my allergens in it (ingredients werent listed on main signs just on drink station for the cider) they refunded me right away!
I dont live in des Moines but will definitely be checking them out again.
