I am a huge fan. I love a good speakeasy, and this place checks all the boxes. Cocktails are expertly curated, and the service was top-notch. It is tiny, so I understand now why reservations are hard to come by. Even tho we missed our resy the host went above and beyond to get us in. Thank you! Don’t try to drive – parking is scarce and you will want to have many cocktails. This is for people who like a great fancy cocktail and chill laid-back vibes, great for a date.

Wanted to love this place, but our bartender ruined it

The host greeted us warmly, the space has a magical, moody vibe, and the old school 80s playlist with a Kenny Loggins record on the wall was perfection. The other staff we encountered seemed great too. My second drink was a magical passion fruit and bourbon concoction which was lovely.

Unfortunately, our bartender single-handedly tanked the experience. He was inattentive when we needed him, then when I asked questions about drinks, he responded in pretentious bar-speak instead of meeting me where I was as a customer. He made assumptions – starting to mix a drink I was only asking about, not ordering – and when I asked about the next drink, he seemed annoyed I was bothering him.

You can be the world’s best mixologist, but hospitality is about making people feel welcome, not making them feel stupid for not speaking your language. This guy needs a serious attitude adjustment.

Won’t be back and can’t recommend – which is a shame because everything else about this place had potential.

(Spoiler): We thought we were in the wrong spot at first, walking passed the back entrance to busy kitchens but right when we thought we had gone to far we saw the light. Its refreshing to see speakeasies that are actually hidden and not so popular that the line shows the entrance.

In contrast to the dark narrow ally you just left, the inside is a warmly lit, upscale bar with comfy seating. It has a high-fi aesthetic with the vinyl records that line the wall and speaker system built into it. The seating is comfortable and mainly focused on 2-4 people options with plenty of bar spots as well.

The bartenders were great as well. They were friendly, great with recommendations, and quick with anything we needed. You will definitely need a reservation (though maybe not for bar spots) but on weekdays it is slow enough that they let you stay longer than the hour block. A 20% service charge is added to the bill regardless of group size. Thats not necessarily a bad thing, just something to know.

The drinks themselves were complex and varied. We ended up getting a Giddy and and Cuffing Season. The cuffing season was my favorite. It had a mix of spiced fruitiness that almost had a szechuan peppercorn bite. The giddy was good to and had the bitter fruitiness similar to a Cusco Sour. The drinks were a pretty decent price for a good speakeasy too.

Overall a great speakeasy that I recommend to anyone visiting.

Convoy Music Bar is one of those entries to the “if I could give this place 6 stars, I would” category. Everything from the ambience, atmosphere, service, and of course, drinks. There are a few drinks that I would say that I’d specifically go out of my way to get, and Convoy Music Bar has not one but TWO of them. I won’t disclose that here, but rather encourage you dear reader to go and seek them out yourself! And enjoy! Happy listening!

Just a fantastic speakeasy! We have been here twice now. Walking to the entrance feels like an adventure. Reservations are easy to make online. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. I love asking the staff for recommendations and he recommended cuffing season which is made with tequila. It was a very smooth drink. It also came with a friendship bracelet. Pineapple gummies bears were a delicious accompaniment with our drinks. Finally, the bidet was such a fun surprise. Everyone needs one

Convoy Music Bar is an interesting speakeasy tucked away in the alley behind O’Brien’s Pub. It’s supposedly inspired by Japanese listening bars, and the interior is pretty nice and well-designed. However, they don’t really play vinyl here as fr as I can tell, it’s really just background bar music, though I enjoyed the selections.

The drinks are pretty good, and pretty strong from why I could tell. My friends and I ordered the Tijuana Blueberry and the Vanna White. The first was a mezcal cocktail with blueberry flavoring, the second was a mixture of multiple types of gin and some olive oil. The drinks had a nice presentation, and they tasted good—though the Vanna White was extremely strong. We also ordered Harland Japanese Lager.

I liked sitting on the cushioned couch, but I agree with many past reviewers that the space is very tight, especially for people sitting at the bar and the row of high tables directly behind the bar seating. The service was also quite good, and the staff are very friendly, However, the steep prices on drinks was a bit of a turnoff, with a single costing anywhere from $20-$24 after tip.

I think it’s worth trying, and would be a nice place for a fun date, but I don’t know how often I’ll come here honestly. Try to make reservations because it’s often difficult to be seated otherwise.

A speakeasy style bar where the high level of decor and ambiance matches the high level of service and cocktails!

Visited on a Thursday around 6 PM with 4 guests – seated right away. A few others in the bar.

Lovely decor/lighting with Japanese inspired elements. Bathroom very clean with heated bidet toilet.

We loved our drinks! I ordered the one that included artichoke, apples, and whisky in the description (can’t remember the name), and it was DELICIOUS! Complex flavors and aftertaste… it was, collectively, our favorite cocktail of the night.

Would highly recommend for a nice little pre- or post-dinner bar experience.

I couldn’t make a reservation but the website said open seating at the bar so we gave it a try. Cole greeted us at the door and found a small table for the three of us to enjoy a “quick” drink. Johnny and Robbie were pouring drinks and had some amazing recommendations and we were off to the races! I never knew there is such a thing as strawberry gin, but I do now. The Vanna White was excellent, strawberry gin and another and a drop of olive oil too, sounds weird but it was ridiculously good. The music was chill and the sound was amazing. We ended up having two drinks before our table was reserved for another party, but it was the perfect amount of time. This is must try for the craft cocktail lover that likes to get cocktail dressy in a cozy chill, loungey atmosphere with an attentive and knowledgeable staff. Thanks for starting my sisters impromptu birthday evening off on a great note!

Fabulous 10/10 experience. My friend and I went together on a Saturday night while I was visiting her and we were greeted by Dean at the door who was very friendly and personable. He took us to our seats at the bar and Rob crafted us some of the best cocktails we’ve ever had! They are so unique and each comes with a fun garnish of some sort. Our reservation was for 90 minutes and when there was about 40 min left Dean came to give us a heads up in case we needed a final cocktail. I also ordered the burrata which was delicious! You do have to walk down an alley and past some dumpsters to get to the back door entrance (I think that adds to the adventure). Would definitely recommend for locals and visitors
