The food was great- especially the bacon! A true farm to table operation as stated. Service was exceptional. If you’re planning on visiting The Breakfast Nook, please be mindful of their business model and patient with the staff. The atmosphere is cozy, but it is very small and seating is limited. It is cash and check only with an ATM on site.

I got the French toast with maple syrup and sausage, the French toast was good and the sausage was also good.
The overall experience is not very good
I feel like the portions were half of a meal
It seems as if it is every kids working there first day ever doing a job.
They are also hampered by lack of commerical equipment to make the higher volumes of food expected by a restraunt.
The server had a serious RBF and the service was generally poor.
I know that it’s young adults running the place, but at least at a mcdonalds or chickfilet (also 80%) high school students the food is prompt.
There must be something else going on for this restraunt experience to be this poor. Even teenagers can learn a food service job in a week or two

I enter, greeted by the stoic faced waitresses, and ordered my over priced food. Bacon, eggs, fried potatoes and grits. Everything was thrown on my plate like sad ihop. My bacon was burnt to a crisp. All 2.5 charred pieces. After tip I spent 90$. The next day I went somewhere else and spent more than half that and the waitress smiled and cracked a few jokes too. Will probably never be back there. I wish effort was put in. Either in the service or the food. But you cant suck at both. Double homicide.

Avoid. It was a very strange experience. Everyone gathers near your table to watch you order. Creepy vibe. They purchase everything from Walmart and sell at inflated prices. The servers are rude. The food was awful. They served me a frozen biscuit, like, actually. The prices on the menu are slightly cheaper than what they charge on your bill. They only take cash and checks.

I wish I could say many nice words, but we had a very disappointing experience. The food is over priced, I had a medium sized biscuit cut in half with maybe four tablespoons of sausage gravy that was gritty with lumps that seemed to be flour not blended in, for a price of $14.00. My knife had a sticky residue on the blade. My husband said his omelette was eatable, but not the standard of most establishments, he received a half cup of coffee, we were the last customers to arrive around 10:45, they close at 12 noon, we assumed they did want to make another pot and didn’t offer a refill, and he had to ask for the toast that was to be included with his meal. Lastly they didn’t give us napkins.

Way over priced! My husband got 1 biscuit with gravy and a can of coke, I got loaded hashbrown with gravy and a can of coke. Our total was $34!! I definitely do not recommend. And they do not take debit cards! Cash or check!

We had breakfast with a purpose at The Breakfast Nook. This place is amazing! This restaurant, farm, & catering business is a live and work environment opportunity for emerging young adults to learn through on the job training to become independent through real life experiences, guided by mentors and life coaches. These amazing people are doing amazing things. The staff was very friendly and my breakfast burrito was yummy and made with their own farm fresh ingredients. Talking with Mike the owner was the highlight of my day. Getting to hear about his business model and how his main objective was just to teach these young people life skills with love and hard work.

The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was very friendly. We ate there twice and both times it was cooked to perfection and served fast. The story behind this restaurant is an amazing one as well. Make sure you read the back of the menu or talk to one of the owners who are always there to learn about the story.

We were the only ones in the place for breakfast. Very quaint. Ordered coffee with a lot of cream. Even told the waitress who seemed out out that we liked coffee milk. She brought one little cream. Coffee grounds floating in the coffee. After seeing that, I ordered toast. My husband said his breakfast was okay. Didn’t seem very friendly or maybe they were having a bad day. Won’t return.

We had a delicious breakfast at the Breakfast Nook this morning…fresh squeezed grapefruit juice, biscuits and homemade sausage gravy, eggs, hash brown and meats. Most foods are locally grown/raised and they were cooked to perfection. Our server, Taylor, was so sweet, efficient and attentive! The Breakfast Nook serves “food with a purpose” meaning that they support young adults learning life skills…great mission! Added bonus, they have a newish outdoor patio so we were able to bring the dog. Highly recommend this sweet place for a wonderful homecooked breakfast!
